time to start considering adding country specific forums in addition to mexico and brazil? do we have enough interest and if so in what countries?
BOLIVIA! We have a good 13-17 Bolivians in BIG SOCCER!!! (I know, mabey not enough since half of the Bolivians here on Bigsoccer dont leave the DC United Board room). IN all do honesty, I think Columbia and PEru are the countries that deserve their own board. Other countries (including my very own BOlivia) have the same posters who post over and over again here in the Sur america forum.
well, i think that colombia have the most posts... but stilll.... i think that a sudamerica forum is good too.....
I think a Colombian forum could hold its own. To my knowledge, there are not a lot of argentineans users in Big Soccer.... but there are a lot of Argie football fans in Big Soccer to keep it alive. Maybe we could have a Mercosur and a Merconorte forum. Mercosur = Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, & Uruguay Merconorte = Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru & Bolivia
i know those tourneys are dead.... but i was refering to the trading trading blocs... Mercosur = Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, & Uruguay (Chile and Bolivia are associate memebers) Andean = Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela (merconorte) Chile could belong to the Mercosur forum and Bolvia could belong to the Andean bloc/forum Just an idea.. with Atletico Nacional, Efern, Londono, and Sid I am sure that they would post a lot of threads in thier forum, but i just dont think a lot of other people would go in there and post. The Colombian league does not get a whole lot of coverage in the US. So if you bunch up the Andean community, you might get more traffic. If you look at the forum right now (CONMEBOL or Sudamerica), most of the threads about Colombia are posted by those four users and not a lot of other users post there. There are not a lot of argentineans, but the league is followed a lot more than any other South American league... and there are a lot of other fans of the Argie league from around the world. Same with Brazil. Granted, the ideal thing to do is to have a forum for each country, but some of them just wont attract users... and bunching them up gets to be a pain in the butt. So many thread.... might as well cut them in half. another idea is to get some users from the univision boards, or go to domestic boards from Colombia, etc.. and introduce them to BS
Well, the poll I posted not so long ago, gave us an idea of where is everyone from (those of us that come here frequently). The truth is that there are very few posters here.
I vote for a Colombian forum. At least I'll know where the discussion on Colombia can be found. Right now I just stumble across the threads via the Home page.
