Hey Beerking, I was kind of hoping the team would fatten up a bit before the start of the season. You know, re-sign Ekelund, Wade, and Joe. Pickup a quality outside midfielder from somewhere, maybe Eddie Lewis? And sign a kick ass striker, maybe someone from Costa Rica or Argentina. I hear that Argentine teams are selling players for hard currency.

    GO QUAKES!!

No way we are getting Eddie Lewis. A pickup from Argentina would have to be priced between 80k and 120k (discovery pick).

Mark's idea has to be predicated on the bad shape that the Argentine economy is in. And it is bad. I suppose they might cut prices on some players. I think I saw on the World Football show that a lot of Argentine players are way behind in getting their pay envelopes and may not be paid at all.

So it might be possible to pick up a player without a transfer fee at all? That would be nice.

How about that kid with the number 10 shirt on that little known team River Plate? I don't think he was too shabby of a player! You know, "little rabbit"? The guy who megs players at will in games? :D
