Compared to the linesman in the England game and now the officials in the Argentina/Mexico match. I mean...Mexico is our enemy and all but that was a bullshit offside. Tevez was miles offside. FIFA won't change a god damn thing though.
i dont know that mexico Argentina play happened really fast in all fairness as opposed to the Coulibaly which the play developed pretty slow and he still messed it up...
not that big a deal since the US ended up winning the group so no biggie..but the england one is a killer..it coulda changed the momentum of the game
They're all idiots. Don't forget the one who was joking around with Luis Fabiano after his Maradona impression.
That England non-goal is a joke. If there was ever a moment where the majority turned in favor of a goal camera, it was that non-goal goal. Sykotyk
The sh1tty officiating in this WC will be looked back, and identified as the impetus for change. FIFA is darn lucky Germany did not win 2-1, or Goal Line Technology would have to be put in immediately. It will still come though.... probably in a NHL style, single review location for goal line decisions only. And I would support it. Incorporating suspensions for divers and those who roll around holding their face when their toe was stepped on is next(with full, post match analysis of video and suspensions for the Mexicans, Ghanaians, and South Americans - oops. I mean for the divers)
Goal-line technology will happen someday, after Blatter's shuffled off this mortal coil to broker deals directly with the Devil. Look for it after a referee makes the same kind of mistake during the Champions League final, and one of the big clubs loses its **** over it. They hold a lot of the influence these days, and they won't be motivated to change anything until it affects their bottom line or their silverware case. I'd support post-match review of divers/fakers. Australian Rules football and (at least in England) rugby leagues have weekly tribunals whose sole purpose is to deal with violent conduct and other on-field issues, so the format does work. Don't know if a straight ban would really work or get agreed to. More likely is the issuing of warnings/fines and then cards for the most egregious offenses (like the one that resulted in Kaka getting sent off).
