With all the talk (especially after the Holland game) about 4-4-2 vs. 3-5-2, I'm wondering if maybe we should try something else instead. No, not the 3-6-1... A 5-3-2. Something like this... Three center backs - Pope, Gibbs, and Bocanegra Two wingbacks - Reyna and O'Brien Two outside mids - Beasley and Convey One attacking mid - Mathis Two forwards - Donovan and McBride
we need a strong central midfield presence - besides putting to many people wide would just take away space from guys like DMB, lewis, convey & donovan i think we should try the formation HOLLAND used to pound scotland, we could fill that out pretty decently
Re: Re: Could this work? For exactly that reason...they are the two best posession players we have...give them the responsibility of bringing the ball up out of the back.
