No, in fact I don't like it. I'm considering on deleting my DVR recording so that the people who missed the game (my dad and a few friends) won't see this game. Would be better to have never even qualified rather than to see my team play like this, but here is to naive hope that they'll turn it around and play some nice football.

Ivory Coast are the better team so far. To bad about Drogba.
To me Ivory Coast have shown the best 'skill' of all of the African teams in this WC so far. Size, speed, and some skill.

The problem is that portuguese football depends to much on a number 10, like Deco. He is playing much worse than in 2006, and the teams is suffering from that.

Ivry Coast is, definitely, an execellent team. At the same level of any other classic european team like Czech Republic or Denmark.

well you know - it was a better offer and wanted to see the world....... oh, you're talking about Dindane? :p

Anyhoo - I would be very surprised if this game ends with 22 players on the pitch, especially when you consider who the ref is.. something tells me we'll also see some goals in this half... me says, 1-1 final score...

Drogba is warming up according to mexican TV.

Hope his injury won't get worse.

Rick James has just knocked on Portugal's door. Hopefully this second half has more chances at goal than the first one. I feel that both Teams can do better than what they did in the first half.

Also, is Dindane the same player that played for RSC Anderlecht several years ago? I spend 2 yrs. in Belgium before moving back to America.

Les Elephants are much the better team , though it's Portugal who came the closest to scoring .

Portugal needs to step it up .

LOL I can sort of see that, but then again having dreads/braids with what appears like a messed-up receding hairline isn't kosher.

That looked like a trip on Ronaldo in the box. But he is never getting that call ...

I really don't agree with this. The level of defending is just high enough to neutralize the offensive impulses. That doesn't mean it is poor offensive execution, it is just that the tactical defense is really good. We will see what will happen in the second half.

Gervinho gets the ball in the box but can't trap it well and surrounded by three I'm not sure what he could've done without a perfect trap.

Kalou taps one to the keeper. Things are picking up.

Simao just came on for Danny. Danny could have done much better today, but Ivory Coast's defense has just been hard to get by.

Ivory Coast certainly is the best African team at this World Cup. I was hoping to see Cameroon do well, but alas...

Anyway, I hope the Ivorians can win this game. It's a very crucial game in this group where Brazil is the clear favorite...

Liedson gets a header, but puts it too close to the keeper.

Gervinho earns a corner for CIV. Back and forth now.

Gervinho could have passed before there.

    Come on, Côte d' Ivoire!

This second half is a lot more entertaining than the first.
