It's difficult to say... Their coach is very tactical minded, so he may chose to use a more tactically skilled player, until he he is 100% sure Bryan Oviedo has developed tactically.

Tuma and Brescia visit Inter Milan in the San Siro tommorow...the game will be on Fox Sports...hope Tuma doesn't get burned by Eto'o, Milito, or Sneijder :D

Solid game from Tuma and Brescia...too bad the ref gave Inter the tie with that gift penalty.

Dennis Marshall has a minor injury, but he should be fit for the final league game before New Years. He is however still training in the snow:

Jean Carlos Solorzano is the top scorer in the A-League right now with 7 goals from 13 games. He's doing very well especially since he only started 4 of those games!

I remember a few Costa Rican fans talking about him before he joined Brisbane that "he's only fast, but poor at everything else" but he seems very good since he's joined. He's a good dribbler and a very good passer!

Any chance he might be on the national team radar? I know he has been called up in the past but has never been capped. He's certainly playing a lot better than Hernandez and Angulo, that's for sure. Probably the best striker in the A-League right now.

Good to hear Solorzano is doing well....he will most likely get a chance since our new coach is calling up a lot of players to see who is NT material (he just recently called up 2 players from the Chinese League which is very rare in Costa Rica). Do you think Brisbane will buy him?...it would be a good deal for both Alajuelense and Brisbane since Alajuelense already have 3 good forwards and he seems to be on fire with Brisbane.

Diego Madrigal has just signed a 1 year deal with Cerro Porteno of Paraguay who are in the Copa Libertadores.

Hope this kid makes it...he was solid in the U-20 WC in Egypt and played well for Herediano this season.

    Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010

I'd like to hope Brisbane would buy him. He's quality. But I doubt Brisbane have the money. The only club with enough capital to pay transfer fees like that of Hernandez last season, is Melbourne and they've got to many strikers.

So who knows, maybe they might loan him again for another year to Brisbane. He's really crucial to them at the moment where they are head and shoulders the best team in the league. There could be a lot of incentives for him, playing in the Asian Champions League in the season after the next which will put him in the shop window of a lot of money rich Asian Clubs.

But if he doesn't extend his loan beyond this season, then I reckon he could go somewhere else in Asia/MLS(of which, he was being chased by a few MLS clubs before signing for Brisbane) or maybe even Europe.

Yet another Costa Rican has joined an A-League club!

Diego Estrada who played for Costa Rica at the U-20 World Cup in 2009 has signed for Adelaide United on a 3 year deal, can you tell me some more about him? Ive seen highlights of him on youtube he looks really, really good. Practically embrassed our U-20 team as well.

He's a good prospect....but he didn't do much for Alajuelense this season...he did have a lot of competition in the midfield though...hope he reaches his potential....i remember Benfica was interested in him but i guess they lost interest in him when he was benched. Our NT coach seems to like him and he is known for having a good eye for young talent.

Bryan Oviedo has moved from FC København to league rivals FC Nordsjælland (FCN) on a loan deal for the rest of this season...

    http://translate.google.com/transla...enstre-back-hos-fck/&sl=da&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8

FCN have on the other hand sold their young Swedish NT left back Pierre Bengtsson to FC København... So in other words, FCN were in need of a new left back and Bryan Oviedo now get a fairly easy path to playing Superliga, while he would have been even further away from playing for FC København, if he was to stay. So it's a good move for him.... FCN is an attacking minded team that like to play a nice quick "Dutch" inspired short-passing game.

Good move for Oviedo....he needs minutes and the club and him seem to be happy.

Gilberto Martinez joins Sampdoria on loan for the rest of the season.

Bryan Ruiz returns after 2 months and scores the winning goal against Feyenoord.

Hey Antonio...this Thursday Cerro play against Petare of Venezuela in the 2nd leg of the Copa Libertadores playoff round. The game will most likely be televised on Fox Sports...Madrigal played 20 minutes in the 1st leg which Cerro won 1-0. This kid shows promise.

Brescia fans are mad that Gilberto Martinez was loaned to Sampdoria since they seem to agree he is their best defender.
