It's no disrespect to the Norwegian league...because IMO their league is A LOT better than our league in many aspects...i'm glad they have shown interest in Costa Rican players...it's too bad they are ignored when it comes to being called up to the national team...but Celso IMO is one of the few players that we have that i think can make it in Elite Football alongside Gilberto Martinez, Bryan Ruiz, Gonzalo Segares, Keylor Navas, Roy Myrie, and maybe Junior Diaz (yes i noe he sucked in our league, but watchin him play with Wisla Krakow against Barcelona and Tottenham showed me that he has potential to play in a solid league).

Matt...is Fredrikstad a solid club?...All I know is that they finished in 2nd place last season and will be in the next UEFA Cup. Hopefully Celso shows his talent in Norway and helps Fredrikstad to fight for the title and advance far in the UEFA Cup.

Celso is supposedly getting around 6M euros for his rights on top of his salary. Which means he is set for the rest of his life, reason enough for leaving saprissa the way he did. Players can only play so many years. I just wished he could of signed with a better team. I am pretty sure this is just a Bridge for him and once over there it will just be a matter of time before he moves to a more competitive league.

Fredrikstad had there best season since they were promoted last year and preformed far better then anyone expected.

i think there squad is decent, there goalkeeper is inexperiensed an unreliabel
In defence they have hardworking phycial players and a brasillian back who can do some intresting thing offensively and also score from some wonderfull free kicks.

The midfield is good again mostly phycically players that is diffecult to play against. They also got Kvisvik tha when he is in form can make vey good passes and crosses.

In offense i think they will struggel they lost there best striker last season and have not replaced him.

All in all i think they have a decent team with hardworking phyciall players that i think will end up around mid tabel.

So if Celso is as good as you say he is and particularly if he is a skilled teqnicall player i think he would have been better of going to a team like Rosenborg Stabæk Brann teams that play more teqnical football.

Bryan Ruiz finished in the top 10 finalist for "Bota de Oro" which is given to the best player in the Belgium league...he was the only player to make it that isn't on one of the 3 powerhouse teams in Belgium (Anderlecth, Club Brugge, and Standard Liege).

    Brescia 2 Empoli 0

Gilberto Martinez played the full 90 minutes in Brescia's win and was fouled in the play that gave Empoli's player the red card. Brescia is still in 3rd place with 38 points (2 behind 1st place)

    Norway Friendly
    Sandefjord 3 Start 1

Cristian Bolanos made his debut with Start scoring their only goal in the match. Here's a video of his goal and some highlights...Bolanos seems to be Starts best player at least in the highlights.

Jonathan McDonald is 21 years old and plays for Club Sport Herediano. He played in the U-20 World Cup in 2007 that was held in Canada...where he scored a game winning goal against Scotland. He is very fast and has a lot of potential. 2 seasons ago he was Herediano's leading scorer...but last year his coach Wanchope didn't use him as much (which IMO hurt there team since they didn't even qualify to the playoff round).
