Or will they just be using backups since they will both be getting ready for the knockout tournament?

From my understanding, the top 8 go on to the "next round"... so even if Saprissa loses 6 points and goes down to 20, that's still 6 more points than the 9th place team and have a game in hand, with not many games to go, so they are still pretty safe (and if they don't lose points, they are currently 12 points clear of them). Or do the teams care about seeding (and not just getting to the next round)? Because to me, it seems like Saprissa is pretty much guaranteed to finish in the top 8 and advance to the knockout tournament (same with Cartagines). So I was just wondering if the game would still be meaningful when they play on the last matchday... or will they be using backups to rest before the quarterfinals?

Saprissa to be selled to Teletica I know an important news of Saprissa which I'm sharing with you. An announcement will be made today in which Vergara has come to an agreemente to sell Saprissa to Teletica (Channel 7). Mariano Varela is in the country closing the deal. You'll see later.
