Tickets for the game between Costa Rica and Argentina scheduled for March 2011 were put on sale today, starting 8am. The game almost sold out in 2 hours with only a few dozen scattered seats left over to be completely sold out by the afternoon.

Most tickets were sold over the Internet and the overwhelming demand led to most people who went out to line up for hours to not get anything. The ticketing servers nearly crashed due to the amount of requests.

On a personal, note... I got my tickets.
It took several tries and a ton of patience... but I cheated the system into selling me 5 tickets even though there was a 4 limit per person restriction. I'm not a reseller, I just got them for family.

That sucks...I wouldn't be surprised if our Fed brings in a U-23 team from Nigeria then since it's happen before with Cameroon and Morocco. They had the chance to bring Paraguay and Chile but they wanted to show China their appreciation for the new stadium.

    Lavolpe's list for the UNCAF
    http://www.navegalo.com/yashinquesa...teban-ramirez-quedaron-fuera-de-la-uncaf.html

Diego Estrada - nice young prospect...but is a cocky little bitch...hope he doesn't end up being just another promising player.

Johnny Woodly - Plays in China...not surprised he was left out.

Esteban Ramirez - Good young player...but he plays the same position as Allen Guevara who was a beast in the playoffs with Alajuelense.

Too bad Cerro Porteno didn't loan Diego Madrigal...but it looks like they have a few friendly's in Brazil and a playoff for the Copa Libertadores. Ever Alfaro was also left out since Atlante didn't loan him (but he sucks anyways :D)

Corruption in football federations is a common Latin American thing.

Ricardo Lavolpe calls up 18 players for our Friendly against Venezuela
    http://www.nacion.com/2011-02-04/Deportes/UltimaHora/Deportes2673694.aspx

Lavolpe did not call up a few players like Bryan Ruiz, Gilberto Martinez, Pablo Herrera, Esteban Alvarado, Carlos Hernandez, Michael Barrantes, Junior Diaz, and Michael Umana who are all either injured or have matches with their clubs ( i'm pretty sure thats our Federations excuse so they won't have to spend money on bringing all these players in)

Tuma says he wants to be apart of Lavolpe's team but it's best for him to stay in Italy for now and adjust to his new club Sampdoria.

Is the friendly against Venezuela going to be broadcast on TV in North America, either live or on tape-delay?
