i just thought it odd that this was posted in the main MLS NA forum and in the NASL either 2016 news or 2017 and beyond thread but not here. i thought it would be posted here and being discussed in even more detail but i guess not so that's why i posted it ... maybe it will spark some comment or insight by actual cosmos fans.
I'm a season ticket holder and this is news to me, can't say I'm surprised. No venue yet?Something has to be very wrong. I had a small clue when the girl who I deal with for my post season tickets left the club for a "better opportunity " right before the semifinal game, poor girl probably wasn't getting paid. Hope the club sticks around even if as a D3 club, that would be a best case scenario at this point. I feel bad for the new academy they started, they were doing very well holding their own against some powerhouses, it looks like they had some good coaches and vision, wonder what happens to them.

Meanwhile, I just got this. The Cosmos will be on local TV for the home opener @ 7pm. After that the rest of the spring season games will be on MSG Networks. NEW YORK (March 16, 2017) – The New York Cosmos today announced the local television schedule for the spring portion of the club’s 2017 North American Soccer League (NASL) season. The club’s NASL home opener against Miami FC at MCU Park on Saturday, April 1st will be broadcast on Tribune Media’s flagship New York station, WPIX, Channel 11. PIX11 has a long history of televising many of the New York areas most popular sporting events. This special occasion is not only the season debut for the team at its new home in Brooklyn, but also marks the first time the Cosmos will play live on broadcast television in over 30 years. Brings back memories of my watching Yankees games on WPIX and Mets games on WWOR. I'm going to assume that there is going to be a huge push to fill every seat at MCU.
Cross Island Crew @CrossIslandCrew 17m17 minutes ago Game postponed tonight. This is unacceptable to postpone so close to the game. We had people on their way by the time announced. #NYCvPRFC
I wondered why there was nobody in the stands (a couple hundred, maybe?). I thought, "Geez, the Cosmos can't draw for s---, can they?"
Meanwhile, This is Cosmos Country podcast will no longer 'continue coverage of the club'. This surely is a blow to the team and the hardcore fans. This is doesn't come close to almost losing your club, but this sucks nevertheless. http://www.empireofsoccer.com/cosmos-country-drops-coverage-of-team-61362/
which sites do you recommend to keep following Cosmos and get fresh news? it's shame that TICC stopped their coverage but I heard really umpleasant things

a bit of an update on the status of the lawsuit: https://medium.com/ranting-soccer-d...wsuit-material-after-seven-years-8dcc6eb7d51c A victory on what’s left of this case probably isn’t going to bring the Cosmos back to life, though the brand has been written off and returned several times in the past. It’s even less likely to spin them a league in which they can fulfill their notions of reviving the glory days of the mid-2010s, let alone the late 1970s. A victory won’t create a lot more professional opportunities for soccer players in the USA.
