One day the chileans will end up winning a world championship of humor, I'm pretty sure. And Bielsa (or some other Argentine director) they write their scripts.
We already have, but we were disqualified for "joking" too much, in the middle of the championship......

I dont think GDP is a huge factor in strength of national team, although it prob. depends on the country. Theres a point where it does help a lot, then just remains constant. The thing that changes is the school or soccer philosophy; the south american with street futbol, or european with academies.

Nice picture of those 3 (Forlan, Cavani and Suarez). Very likely if FIFA ends eliminating and banning Uruguay from next WC (which it is very likely), after recent Uruguayan government involvement in Uruguay's FA (where almost all FA officials has renounced to their positions, including their president, vice-presidents, head of their NT and every other official), that picture will be the most we will see of all 3 of them, next WC.
Uruguay wont be banned, its not "very likely" at all in my opinion. What the government did is pretty much the opposite of getting involved, leaving 100% of the security to the clubs, like it should be.
Not if FIFA interpret's it, as Government intervention, which is severely sanctioned. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/03/31/uk-soccer-uruguay-idUKBREA2U1JJ20140331
Yeah, its severely sanctioned. But this wont be considered intervention, in fact, I wish Chile followed in the same footstep.
I agree that this isn't interference. Government intervention generally refers to when the government makes decisions for the FA, or decisions that directly affect the FA. Pulling the police from a match is far from that.
how this thread became a photo album of Uruguay? Including the president with a girl? anyway, total nonsense that FIFA would exclude Uruguay for the president withdrawing cops from club games. This is NOT an interference in the FA. It´s akin to FIFA banning a country for the government not building public stadiums, or not giving money for clubs to buy players, etc. I doubt there is any FIFA estatute that demands that PUBLIC MONEY be spend on the security of football matches.
