PEOPLE ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT THE SHOCKING DOUBLE REVEAL AT THE END OF THE LAST EPISODE! FIRST, A FACE REVEAL OF THE RUMORED NEW HERO. THEN, WE HAVE THE CALL BACK TO THE END OF THE FINAL EPISODE, WHERE COACHBOT'S CONSCIOUSNESS WAS TRANSFERRED FROM HIS ROBOT FRAME INTO A HUMAN BODY. WELL, WHAT ALL EXCEPT THE MOST EAGLE EYED VIEWERS DID NOT SEE, WAS THAT HIS CONSCIOUSNESS WAS COPIED. THEREFORE, A COPY REMAINS, DEEP IN THE LABS UNDERNEATH THE NEW FORTRESS OF OUR YELLOW CLAD HEROES. AFTER A STALEMATE AGAINST THE TRIBALS FROM THE SALT LAKE, OUR CREW MARCH NORTH TO FACE A CORPORATE GENERATED RIVAL, A FOE FROM A CITY TO THE FAR NORTH. WHEN WILL THIS SAVIOR DEBUT? WILL COACHBOT RETURN? CAN OUR HEROES CLAIM ANY GLORY UNDER ITS NEW COMMANDER?
Are there any other professional sports that have teams lose all their best players and still are expected to perform? I mean NFL teams might lose a starter or two and then they fill in with slightly less qualified backups. Less qualified is a compliment to who we are throwing out there. I’m thinking 20 senior players isn’t enough to be competitive.
He could change things instead of doing the same stuff over and over. That’s the frustrating part. No one would complain if we lost to a very good team on the road at altitude. Porter was too scared to even try to win though. At 0-0, it’s not like there wasn’t a path forward for that. We’re almost last in the conference and he’s not even trying to change things up. At this point, it’s almost impossible to not play with 3 CMs. Going back to a 4-2-3-1 would be a waste of talent allocation. Especially since we have no wingers. Why keep playings wingers when they all suck and benching CMs who are solid to very good?
Let's see... We had our starting keeper. We had our starting back 4, including our captain. In this back four we have Santos who has been one of the best LB's in the league this season, and Moreira who was our best addition last season. In midfield we have Nagbe. We also had Morris, who's absence last year was blamed for our horrible season. Up top we had Miguelol Berry, who Porter annoited as starter at the beginning of the season when he stated we had a championship quality roster. Berry was flanked by Luis Diaz and Igbekeme who was hailed as a key offseason acquisition. Let's stop with the idea that this was a mash unit, last night or throughout the season. We had one player making his debut. Every other player was a guaranteed starter or a player expected to make key contributions to a "championship caliber roster."
Is it too early to wonder out loud whether Nagbe has lost a step? His lack of productivity is becoming harder and harder to ignore.
id honestly prefer artur & morris in the double pivot roles going forward, if we have to play a double pivot. if we are gonna play a 4-3-3 then lucas would be above artur and morris. a wide diamond, artur would be the lone dcm a narrow diamond, lucas up top, artur and morris left right, with nagbe as the furthest back.
I’ll be in Philadelphia this week for a conference and was seeing if anyone knew of any soccer bars that would play the game Wednesday. Any suggestions?
Injury report: The list grows shorter #Crew96 pic.twitter.com/74QekEDdzZ— Ty Fisher (@FisherTyler__) June 28, 2022 Is it strange that I kinda don't mind Artur and Lucas being out if it means Morris gets to start?
There's a place downtown, a block or two away from the convention center. Big soccer bar, lots of memorabilia, lots of TV's always jammed for games. Can't recall the name but someone here will remember.
Wish there had been something like that when I was a teen/young adult there. All we had was an International Press stand that had two week old soccer mags from Europe--and the odd Soccer America.
Well, the downside is the Phillies play at the same time, so it might be tricky. They have a Fado, so that's a start. They have a pub called Cavanaugh's Headhouse near the intersection of South and Second, which is where I saw England v T&T from in 2006 when it was called Dark Horse. If it hasn't changed much, they have an interesting set up. There's one small-ish room and then a bunch of other rooms up the stairs. Their website advertises Champions League, so it may be worth a call. (South Street is sort of what the Short North used be with all the wacky eccentricity and maybe a little bit more. You might in for an adventure if you decide to head that way.)
