My son and I downloaded the new enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate especially for the pandemic. Uber primitive graphics, yes, but boy is that still a fun game 20+ years after it came out, and the NPC’s are surprisingly sophisticated. Anyway I just wanted to raise the nerd ante a lil more.
In fairness, the numbers are peaking or coming down globally. I don't think there's much question that the developed world can control the coronavirus by shutting down businesses and social distancing. But then what? Wait until a vaccine is developed? Because this virus is a sniper, peak your head out and you will find that the war is indeed not over.
At this stage, 57% of Americans now believe thaT Trump waited too long to act. Let's see how high it will be a month from now. A new Economist/YouGov Poll finds 57% of Americans now believe that President Trump waited too long to act on the coronavirus pandemic that is devastating the nation. Looking at updated IHME projections... They have Sweden at 18,322 deaths out of a population of roughly 10.23 million that is 0.00179101%. Taken against the US population of 328.2 million that is 587,808. If those numbers for Sweden hold up than yes, we should have not gone the Sweden ruote.
Not trying to be a jerk, BUT, Hopefully it wasn’t a false negative... It’s gonna be real interesting going forward when someone comes into work sick. Will they get fired? Maybe only if they have good-paying jobs or work in close proximity to the wealthy?
...Walk into a bar. "Hey - where's the bartender?" "Oh, he died of Coronavirus" Wilbur - "Ivanka grab the top shelf stuff. I'll get the cash register. Someone steal the quarters from the pinball machine. C'mon, move it!"
Silicon Valley is working on robots that can collect people that test positive, and take them away to a quarantine zone where they can recover or die. Here's an artist's rendering of the upcoming robots. (just trying to keep up with the nerds in this thread)
Ironically that panel is simply the WH CoS and the senior / financial / trade advisers to the president So all the people who work at the WH on this anyway Just a rebadging of the existing team
Yep..... As Stephanie Ruhle mentioned on Twitter, all of these people work for the administration already. They don’t need a task force. They could just call a meeting.
They're probably figuring out some way to pay them extra for being on a task force. Grifters gonna grift.
