Greg Sargent is making some interesting points after the Biden announcements. Those are being watched with interest in Bernie's camp as well. Make no mistakes, those moves are pretty big. For a while politicians in DC were talking about pushing the Medicare "age" to 67. This is a huge reversal.

Of course it is. Meanwhile, we've already had mocking posts today about how Biden is such a wimp, because he didn't propose age 55. As if Bernie has ever accomplished, well, anything. Anything at all.

I think you know where Congress is on this.. McConnell is backing the President, so unless Trump gives his buy-off, there is nothing getting through Congress.

That guy is a jerk. As the representative from the Husband's Union, your local 209, I can tell you that this guy's action has made life harder for loads of husbands. We at the union know the rules. Dont forget the birthdays and anniversary, buy flowers on V day, you are to do one romantic act in the house, unprompted and if ain't on the shopping list, you dont buy it.

But now this guy has made life harder for these husbands because we have to answer why we dont do things this romantic! Or baby if I have cancer you better do something like this for me. It was a thoughtless and selfish act.

They don't care if Democrats die. Let's face it, they didn't care a bit that 6,000 Puerto Ricans died, Trump didn't lift a finger, and then he mocked them by saying that only 4 people died. That 40% sold its humanity to Trump.

.However, there is hope for the 41 percent and the 42 percent, anything over that 40 number. They might be reachable.

There is zero reason for the House not to take this up. I know they are not physically there, and I have heard they were working on a way to vote remotely. At the very least, House committees should be meeting by zoom and crafting a bill to massively increase testing so that we can get back to normal. Do the right thing and put the pressure of the nation on the Senate and the President.

There are bull runs in bear markets. Having said that ... the S&P close the week above an important average that has indicated the past 2 recessions.

He is doing a great job. But to be fair to Andrew, NYC area is far more densely populated so it was always gonna have worse affect. Also Cuomo's press conferences are why he is loved. Newsome is a bit too pretty and not as blunt as Cuomo. But again in terms of crisis management, he has been arguably the best. I hear DeWine is doing well in Ohio plus good things about Murphy in NJ and Baker in Mass and Hogan in MD.

And Jay Inslee in Washington. He always gets skipped over - Washington had the first cases in the country but they beat the curve and sent excess ventilators to New York before California did. Inslee needs better marketing.

Nobody cares about the pressers if the Drs aren’t there. I hope the networks stop airing them altogether. Just show me the relevant parts later

MSNBC just went to Pence live after the President spoke. I like it, don't like Pence politically (duh) but his approach to convey updates on what the fed gov't is doing is very reassuring. Exact reason why I never feared the idea of President Pence if Trump was kicked out.

He's a pro. Also a weasel, which one needs to be to keep a job for Trump.

Washington also told FEMA to take back the field hospital they created in CenturyLink field and give it to another state that needs it.

    Possible other factors ...

    1. Where else can the money go?

    2. Announcement of stimulus, QE etc means the party is far from over

So, here's the rumor from a friend down in the Bay Area: California will be increasing lockdown, and issuing fines to people traveling further than a few miles from their residence.

I don't really believe this. But we'll see.
