It will continue to be delayed, until the inevitable...

A conference is talking about no competition until October 1. Absolutely asinine to even contemplate that. Just cancel it.

See you on the college soccer pitch...August 2021.

The WAC has announced no men's soccer prior to Sept. 16. Just another milepost in the journey to a lost season.

The Big Ten and Pac-12's decisions hinge on a consistent, comprehensive policy regarding COVID-19. Conference can control those factors during conference play, whereas opponents for non-conference games may operate under differing rules. There are a lot of MAC and Horizon schools closer to the heart of the Big Ten than Maryland and Rutgers, but Maryland and Rutgers play by the same rules as the rest of the Big Ten.

Not sure about the Army game. West Point and Navy have exemptions to play fall sports if they choose.

As for CCSU, the schedule looks to be in compliance with the Northeast Conference's decision to delay the start of men's soccer to 9/10 or later.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference voted on Tuesday, July 14, to suspend all mandated conference athletic events and championships through the fall semester in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Conference has already undertaken a full review of its ability to shift fall sports competition and championships to the spring semester and fully intends to do so if a return to competition can be safely executed.

"When we made the extremely difficult decision to cancel last spring's championships, it was because there was simply no way to conduct them safely," Emmert said in a prepared statement. "This document lays out the advice of health care professionals as to how to resume college sports if we can achieve an environment where COVID-19 rates are manageable. Today, sadly, the data point in the wrong direction. If there is to be college sports in the fall, we need to get a much better handle on the pandemic."

CAA is letting its members decide their own fate. William & Mary, Hofstra, Towson, Drexel and Delaware say they're not playing. James Madison, College of Charleston and UNCW intend to play. Elon is weighing options.

    MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE:
no soccer prior to Sept. 3, a relatively mild decision.

Mid-Americans tend to be mild ... until you cross them.
