If Corinthians paid $18,000,000 for Tevez and Mascherano, then Corinthians must have been owed a fee on their transfer to West Ham. Who paid it? If West Ham paid the fee to Corinthians, then their would appear to be absolutely no basis for inclusion of a clause on economic rights in their contracts. If MSI paid it in anticipation of gaining ownership of West Ham, I doubt they paid full price (based on their relationship with Corinthians). So have they defrauded Corinthians? Or do they consider Tevez their property because it was their investment that allowed Corinthians to purchase him? This is way to convolute, I'm getting a headache.
MSI paid for them, then gave them to Corinthians as a 'gift'. Then gifted them to us as part of a take over which our ex-owner/ chairman tried very hard to push through.
