As much as I love Perrotta, the guy really has very little creativity with the ball lol. He made that almost TOO easy for Campognolo. Cerci also completely messed up that run before.

i can't believe they didn't take advantage of the red cards. a bigger win was need to rest the important ones for the ritorno match.

What bothers me is knowing just how bad this team would be without DDR in the lineup.

The way I see it, Ranieri really just doesn't care about the Coppa. His efforts seem almost entirely focused on getting this club back into CL, which is understandable of course...

don't think so...he care about every tournament we are currently playing in...we played a really nice game...i liked it....if luck and/or no "lead legs" this match could have ended 7-0....

The semi-final is next week (Feb 3rd) at the Olimpico. It will be two legs, with the first in Rome. Tomorrow we find out if it's Milan or Udine.

Of course Cerci and Okaka help set that goal up.

What really gets me is Ranieri uses one or two subs a game, not even one of them can come on.

He could of played Brighi instead of Daniele...but, DDR is a work horse and doesn't like days off. It does catch up to him though...he will be fatigued come May/WC.

What does this have to do with fatigue?

Meaning at his young age in his health coupled with his enormous wealth, not to mention the current form he has shown, barring a major injury, and with the WC held in the cold winter months, there is no way he will be fatigued!

I never realized the money helped to really muscular fatigue, you should sell that one falvo. There's a market for it.

First of all, whoever said De Rossi is fatigued anyway? Its not like he is working like a dog digging ditches and getting up at 3am...............
he is only playing football, is young and in form and healthy and in shape......but besides that, I'm surprised you wouldn't know the wealthiest players, clubs and federations in the world wouldn't be able to afford to buy and receive the best care, trainers, doctors or whatever is needed...how do you think Totti came back so soon before the WC in 2006 after his terrible injury a few months prior to the finals?..money buys everything, even health.......look it up.....

con i soldi si cantano pure le messe ......

What are you talking about??? No fatigue. Do the math...38 serie A games...around 12 Europa matches so far....plus Coppa Italia. If you want Daniele to be on top form and remain healthy, the guy needs to rest as well. He's been going like a horse for 3.5 consecutive years every since the World Cup + Euro. We talk about Totti's health status...imagine what Daniele will be in 5 years continuing to go at this pace. He will be far worse then Totti bc he plays a more aggressive game.

You're drinkning the cool aid if you think he's superman. He's a Roman warrior, not superman.

There are 23 players so if any one player is "fatigued" , somone else will take his place. If he or anyone for that matter , is fatigued as you say, I doubt he would be picked to play. In reality though, I believe its just a poor excuse for ineffective play. I've followed the WC finals since the 70's and never had fatigue from the previous Serie A season had an immediate effect on the finals. There could be ineffective play or there can be injuries and/or injured players from or as a result of the season or there can be fatigue from the summmers heat or from the games played within or during a given tournament, I.E. 1970 burn out from Italy vs W GMY 4-3 win or 1994 injuries and summer heat during WC USA.........however, I never remember a player suffering or complaining during a WC because the SERIE A season was too long and rigorous.

Even if fatigue was a factor, history has proven, it never really has been proven or rather effected the national team.

    1970 WC FINAL 2nd place

    1974 1st round

    1978 WC 4th place

    1982 WC FINAL Champs

    1986 WC Final 2nd round

1990 3rd Place being eliminated from semifinal on pk's....

1994 WC FINAL 2nd losing final on pk's

    1998 Quarterfinals losing on pk's

    2002 2nd round

    2006 WC Champs

Also, this next World Cup will be played during the cold southern hemisphere's winter so fatigue if there is any, shouldn't even enter into play.
