I know this is least of our concern (UNLESS we were NAPOLI) this year but it's a great place to test our 2nd squad and get them involved. We are currently waiting on winners of Pescara - Cagliari match on Dec. 5th to find our first opponent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012–13_Coppa_Italia
The Bianconeri will open their Coppa Italia campaign with a home tie against Cagliari at Juventus Stadium. The meeting with the Sardinian outfit, to be contested on Wednesday 12 December at 9pm local time, was confirmed after the Rossoblu overcame Pescara 4-2 to book their place in the last 16 of the competition. A quarter-final clash with the winners of Milan v Reggina is the reward for whoever emerges victorious in Turin. Cagliari’s triumph means they will face Juventus twice in the space of nine days, with Conte’s men making the trip to Sardinia for the final championship game of the calendar year on Friday 21 December.
We have been preempted by Copa del Rey (both Barcelona and Real Madrid are playing) and the Capital One Cup (Swansea City v Middlesbrough) on beIN on Wednesday. At least it will be played at night although I have my own match at 9:00. ET 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM Coppa Italia (Italian League) Juventus vs. Cagliari
because pogba did take his spot. Pogba has been a boss so far. I was a little skeptical with his hype but i've been quite impressed with him. hopefully marrone can show well if he gets his shot. give bendtner and quag's a shot up top also.
Marrone was injured for Sunday. He will get his chance. Conte likes him a lot and he was on the substitute bench against Shakhtar.
no loans usually dont work out cuz when teams play crap its hard for a single player to show himself. We still need marrone for depth and he's a good CB also...i actually think he'll be a better ball playing CB than bonucci. We can develop him and pogba alongside MVP and in a few years we'll continue the beast mode in midfield, especially when pirlo is gone.
Juventus v Cagliari, sold out December 11, 2012 Antonio Conte will be able to count on a full house at Juventus Stadium when he makes his return to the Bianconeri dugout for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia encounter with Cagliari. The few remaining tickets for Juve’s last 16 meeting with the Rossoblu were snapped up this morning, meaning Conte’s men will have a passionate backing as they bid to secure a quarter-final place.
I'm not talking about Sunday. I'm talking about this season. He's been a substitute in two games all season long in both competitions, combined.
Buffon Rubinho Chiellini De Ceglie Barzagli Bonucci Lichtsteiner Marrone Pogba Marchisio Padoin Pirlo Asamoah Vidal Giaccherini Isla Vucinic Giovinco Bendtner Matri Caceres and Lucio injured. Quag and Storari suspended.
Marrone was the starter at the beginning of the season while Chiellini was out injured. He has two starts and two substitute appearances.
I had no idea that we were doing a separate thread for the Coppa. 5 victories and we can put a silver star on our shirts. Let's win another trophy, boys.
Cagliari arrive at this point by defeating La Spezia 2-1, relying on a last gasp goal from Joaquin Larrivey. The match was played in Trieste in front of 51 people. That's right. 51 people. http://www.soccerway.com/matches/20...gliari-calcio/asd-spezia-calcio-2008/1372769/
