I play goalie as can be seen by my sn, anyhow, throughout my career ive always had extreme ups and downs. These can last for any amount of time, from a couple of shots to a couple of years...no joke.

Couple years ago I was doing very well...scholarship and college offers wouldn't stop rolling in then i got hurt and things still looked good...but decided to forgo college soccer.

I'm back now but looking very terrible. I found myself riding the bench last season. Im still adjusting to get back even after a season of play or should I say practice. But honestly, is there anything u guys do to get yourselves out of droughts????

It seems like you have a serious problem with Self Confidence.

This is especially important for a Keeper. When it comes to Soccer goalies, it's all about consistency. You can play a great game but if you make one mistake it usually results in a goal conceded.

Until you master your self confidence you will never be able to play well on a consistent basis. You'll make a few bad moves then get down on yourself and be back on a bad drought.

You need to apply positive self talk to yourself during games and practices. It seems like you have the potential to be a great keeper but after a few bad moves get down on yourself and it just goes in a major downward spiral.

I want you to go on YouTube and search for a video titled - Sports Psychology. What is Self-Confidence in Sports?

    Hope this helps. Good luck.
