copa matches in phoenix?

My understanding is that the broadcast is at 4pm Thursday. 7pm is the east coast time (My sources are soccertv.com and the DirecTV online guide). Brazil vs. Cameroon follows.
I and my crew will most likely be at the George & Dragon on Central, just N. of Indian School. Go Nats!!!

 

The Turkey games is on at 7pm on Galavision here in Phoenix.

Brazil is on at Noon on Telefutura, which is Channel 35 over the air in Phoenix but a low power station and very difficult to get in well. This station is not carried over Cox Cable.

I'd like to find a bar that will have the Brazil game.

 

The local Galavision station is showing the game at 7pm (phoenix time) and showing Brazil and Cameroon at 9pm.

Do they have a way to get Telefutura for the Brazil game?

I suppose this should be moved to fans and travel, though.

 

The local Phoenix broadcast affiliate for Telefutura is Channel 13. I have DirecTV and I get local channels. It is 13 on DirecTV, as well.

 

What you're getting is Channel 13 in Flagstaff. Channel 35 is the the same station, but it's the Phoenix feed from a low power transmitter. I can't pick up 13 over the rabbit ears (can get 35, but not very well).

As I mentioned in another thread, there appears to be some sort of legal dispute going on between Cox Communications and this station in Flagstaff (it appears the dispute is to whether Flagstaff constitutes the Phoenix Metropolitan Area or not), the upshot of which is that it isn't available on Cox Cable. I'm guessing if you live in the Northern part of the city, you might be able to get 13 over the rabbit ears, but I'm not sure. Flagstaff is still a fair bit away.

So essentially all someone would need would be DirectTV or a bar with DirectTV willing to put it on.

 

Does George and Dragon Have Dish? I'm just asking because the Galavision feed on Dish is the East coast feed, so games start at 4:00 AZ time. I'm thinking that is also true for DirectTV.

I'll be on a plane during the game on Thursday but I would be interested in watching the Brazil game. If someone finds a bar with the game, please post.

If not I might have to sign up for Dish Latino for a few days and pay the 5 buck fees-it will be like getting the game on PPV.

Or maybe escape to the high country-if the station really is from Flagstaff we just need to find a place in Flag to watch the game.

 

Nobody has been able to find a bar with Telefutura?

Can someone confirm that Telefutura is broadcast in Flagstaff? I might load up a small TV and power converter and go watch the game if that is what it takes, but I would like to know that the game is really being broadcast.

I'm not sure if anyone is reading this thread anymore...but just in case.

But I just figured out that Telefutura East comes with my Dishnetwork 150 package. If The George and Dragon has Dishnetwork then they should have Telefutura since you need the Dish150 to get FSW.

I might go eat supper there tonight to see what they have.

 

I called earlier today and G&D have Telefutura. I'm still taping the game at home. I'm paranoid about the start time being 12:00 instead of 1:00. so I'll be going at noon.

 

The game starts at noon and I believe Telefutura is showing it live.

 

I assume folks are going to the G&D on Central?
