Se jugo feo pero se gano y se clasifico, que es lo mas importante, aunque lo ideal es clasificar primero, ahora la presion la tiene Estudiantes, y Alianzas quizas juege mas relajado y de la sorpresa.

The team needs to improve a lot, especialmente la defensa. Ahora que Villamarin fue expulsado, quizas Vilchez vaya de marcador izquierdo y regrese Solis con Vidal Sosa (que malo que este paraguayo, el solito creo que desacomoda toda la defensa!!) We need to get more decent players in defense for next round, we're not gonna cut with what we have right now!

El gol fue una pintura, Super Cuy and Zorrito la hicieron linda, y "Zlatan" se suspendio en el aire como por 3 segundos, golazo!

    Arriba Alianza!!!

I'll be rooting for alianza in the next round! But they had a pretty bad game vs. Bolivar yesterday. Is that true they didnt win in over a month in their own house?

They pressured and played fast but with no direction, and that finally took a toll on them with them gassing later in the second half, with bolivar then being able to take advantage of that. Also I think our defense played well, it could have been more goals had they not blocked/slide tackled away chances, especially Iturralde who was our savior yesterday. Although I think bolivar should have tied, as they had many clear chances.... it wasnt meant to be.

    Congrats Alianza!

Also I dont know if anyone plays Winning Eleven/PES but it was announced yesterday that Konami has gained the license for the Copa Libertadores for 2011!!!! We will finally be able to play a LEGIT version of the tournament with animations like they have already for the champions league, but the copa libertadores!!!

I dunno. Since the game probably would maybe be released at the end of this year, i'd assume they'd probably put the most probably teams to go from each country. Thats just a guess though, i have no idea.

Oh yea, that happens. Patched versions of the old PES6, there is patched versions of all WE/PES games. Its just not official. The Official stuff is cool cause the intros are made by konami and are of the highest quality, not to mention playing online! We can soon play with all the south american teams online vs. eachother!

He scored a nice early goal on that header, but I don't think overall he had a good match. He also missed one that he should have made. The guy who played well was el Zorro Aguirre, but overall Alianza had a rather poor match and they were lucky to beat Bolivar at home.

Alianza has talent, but the defense looks shaky. Right now they are not looking as good as they were earlier in the tournament, especially against Estudiantes. We'll have to see if they can get it back in time for the knockout round.

Out of curiosity: what brings you to this conclusion? I think most people will agree that la U picking up a point at the Maracaná is far more impressive than CC winning in Vza. (something they have always done anyway, despite the fact that this season they are virtually eliminated).

Venezuela has become a tougher place to play recently, but of course it's not the same as going to the Maracana. But I picked Colo Colo because they played very aggressive football and really should have had a goleada, but they were a bit unfortunate.

Universidad de Chile played a smart, tactical game, very defensive but efficient in the counterattack, but still they were a bit fortunate to get the draw in injury time. I thought it was very impressive going into the Maracana and getting the result -maybe more impressive as you say than winning in Caracas- and of course they are having a better tournament than Colo Colo overall.

But in my view, looking at the way Colo Colo approached their match and went on the attack, although they ultimately failed to get the goal advantage they needed, I thought they played the best football in Libertadores this week.

Pero estoy de acuerdo, cada vez que veo a ese tipo en la cancha me entran sentimientos homicidas. No es ningun secreto que es un engreido de Leoz.
