The one sub I'll critique is Richarlison going out. We could have used him over Marquinhos in the PK shootout.

For us a loss is a loss. We are 5 times WC Champs. We play for pride . We play for victory .
Losing in the QF has become a trend for us . We have not been able to break this curse . Losing 5-0 or 6-0 is NOT always called ass kicking. This humiliation of getting out at this stage after every 4 years can be easily called ass kicking IMO.

We need to hire a psychologist (or a better one to focus on this issue) to work with the NT players IMO. They always lack confidence and that killer instinct in these big games.

Hey at least your kid has one team left in the competition!;)

I hope you don't take 4 years to show up. I saw you posted in 2019. Hope to see you around at the latest in 2026.

It is even more painful, cuz unlike other quarterfinals, Brazil was just so so close to getting to the semifinals, once the equaliser happened, everyone knew who is going to win, the entire momentum was with Croatia, also Alison didn't do shit in this World Cup...no contributions.. zero.. nada.
I was really rooting for Brazil for you guys were really playing attractive football.

A sobering thought is that Brazil will now endure the same period between World Cups until it wins again - and that's IF Brazil wins in 2026 - that it endured between 1970 and 1994.

That's crazy. I remember 2002 - and the world we were living in as well as what I was like in terms of age, physical fitness and health, relationships, career, etc. - like yesterday. On the next occasion Brazil plays a World Cup match, that time of my life will have been 24 years old.

I am not going to going to say they kick our ass. They had only one shot on target which deflected off Marquinhos otherwise Alisson saves it.

Tite is a great coach and I would want him to stay if he was going to but he did poor in this game with his subs and I don't know why we push forward like that.

It was poor tactics to keep the game open with just 4 mins to go, that's completely on Tite.

1994, 98 and 2002 World cups were really a great time for a Brazil fan, been waiting ever since, this defeat though hurts the most, for it seemed finally the wait was going to be over.

Tite made a bunch of awful calls for Brazil even before the world cup started...thanks God he will be gone after this!

Also really cowardly of Neymar to be waiting for the last kick,shameful....always trying to be the glory hunter, reminds me of match where same happened to Ronaldo, didn't get the chance to take a penalty.

Let's play only 2 midfielder against 3. Don't press, let them have space to play.

Way too arrogant. Croatia had much more problem in midfield against Japan than this game.

I won't even bother watching the next World Cup if Brazil bring another domestic coach.

If Tite is the best we have, imagine the others, lol.

I hope Argentina wins this world cup, we'll need extra motivation for the next world cup in 2026!

Unpopular opinion but I'll be happy when we phase Neymar out of the NT.

Extremely talented but way to selfish of a player.

We have way to many talented guys who when combined and playing as a team can makeup for what we'll lack in Neymar.

Fifth time that Brazil is eliminated from the World Cup where the team does not impose itself in midfield. Brazil has played without an deep lying playmaker ("volante armador") for decades. At Psg this guy is Veratti. Paqueta is a "little above average player".

Sofascore ratings are ok. Whoscored is also good, but they gave too much to Neymar. Fotmob ratings are very high in this match.

You don't know Neymar asked Tite to be the 5th kicker. I do admit I wanted him to be the first. Rodrygo looked nervous and tense - I had a feeling he was going to miss.

But really, people, stop bashing Neymar. He is the reason Brazil (almost) reached the semifinals.
