Of course if our Copa had the CL's new rule, all cards reset / tossed before final it would be a nonissue. But I guess we don't have that rule.

Very nice of Messi to let Neymar take it so all of MSN could score. Of course Messi could have had a brace and his 500th goal but better to get that in open play. Shame about the miss. Bigger shame Masch not in to take (and make) the PK. Also could've let Suarez get his 34th goal of the season and 4th(?) hat trick, but no need to get greedy or make Neymar jealous of Leo's special bond with Luis.

I mean wth hell is neymar doing with his short run!? Its just stupid.. if I was Lucho id rip him a new one. There is no way he should take a penalty if its 0-0 or something.. get a grip lad and slam it.. no one cares if you are special penalty taker!! They´ll just laugh at you!!

In the fourth round when the Primera clubs enter the tournament, all bookings re-set for the lower division teams.
At this point, the finalists will have played eight matches total, from the Round of 32 through the semifinals.
3 bookings in 8 matches is deserving of a suspension, imo.

Well for a one-off final in a generally neutral location it is simply nice to have each club able to play its very best side. If Pique, Masch, and/or Suarez missed the CdR final that would be a shame, similarly if Celta or Sevilla (or even Valencia) were missing 1 or more of their key players. So I agree that not getting 3 yellows in 8 games should be do-able, I'd just as soon they not suspend anyone for the final accept for red card, not for mere yellow card accumulation.

By my count it looks like the passes must be under-represented on this cute little graphic (if 25 is correct) but at least it gives a nice idea of the flow and who touched the ball before the goal:

Well first off I'd take it if we can keep them from an away goal, secondly, after witnessing the first half I have a hard time seeing that hold true. I don't think Neville and Valencia can pull off a Simeone or a Mourinho and park the bus like that. They also have already used 2 of their substitutions so they'll be tired (Vezo just came on for Siqueira).

Nice to see Iniesta rested and Roberto on.

Will be interesting to see if Pichici de Copa Munir gets time in the 2nd half or next game.

    500!!!!!!!!!

Arda to Suarez, quick no look pass to Messi, dribble one, dribble two, fire with the left to near post!

Edit - did not realize that they counted U20 and U23 in the total, I mean I guess that's OK but well, is it really:
Messi has now scored 500 career goals
    435 Barcelona
    49 Argentina
    14 ARG U20
    2 ARG U23 #MESSI500

Messi has now scored 250 goals at the Camp Nou - 248 for Barcelona - 2 for Argentina

I think we can now expect LPB to come up with reasons why the Bernabeu won't be available for the Copa final.
