Other reasons Leo stays are all the youth who are coming along well: Frenkie, Pedri, Araujo, Ilaix, Mingueza, Dest, Trincao, Dembele, Puig, and all the talents still at Barca B: Collado, Konrad, Manaj, Balde, Gavi, Nico Gonzalez, etc. (not even mentioning La Masia). EDIT - A hopefully healthy Fati rejoining next season (or earlier) too! And Eric Garcia too rejoining Barca after his stint with Man City (good friends with Fati and others of that generation like Konrad and Ilaix and Puig) And of course the old friends are also reasons to stay and not to be discounted Pique (maybe just for a year or two), Alba, Busquets, and Roberto plus non La Masia vets like ter Stegen, Griezmann, Lenglet, and Umtiti.

Congratulations to the team and congratulations to Koeman. He took over a basket case of a football club and whilst there is a long way to go we have won a trophy and can be optimistic about the future.

Leo #Messi #CopaDelReyFinal...again,he defies the strategists, technocrats, stupid coaches who think they can stop him..as allusive as a moonbeam in your hand.— Ray Hudson (@RayHudson) April 17, 2021
Well he is still just 23 and this is his first season at Barca without more than one injury setback. I know he has been here awhile and he may actually play out his contract and leave next summer, and his finishing is inconsistent, and he cost a metric crap ton. BUT he is young and talented and maybe has turned a corner and I think Leo believes in talent and second (3rd and even 4th) chances, if he knows/sees your talent and feels you are not a jerk.
It's Mikky's birthday and she asked him to score and dedicate goal to her and that's exactly what Frenkie did 😭❤️ pic.twitter.com/LT5gEgIDwM— Zoé ⭐⭐⭐ (@imaginiuss) April 17, 2021
Everyone lining up to get a pic with Messi and the trophy. lol 1383538819115327493 is not a valid tweet id
Frenkie shined in his best role. Pique being able to play frees up FdJ from the 'false 6' hybrid role that was just a stopgap.
The Maradona Curse lives on... (for Athletic) Bilbao won their 23rd Copa del Rey in 1984, beating Barcelona in the final. At the end a fight broke out, centered around Maradona, who had his leg broken in a previous encounter by Goikoetxea. This was the last game for Maradona as a Barça player, as he was banned for 3 months for the fight and he decided it was time to move on. Athletic has played 6 finals since, losing them all, and has seen Barça win 11 and overtake them as the team with most Copa del Rey wins with 31.
The guy who keeps his shoe that was used for tackling Diego should keeping it still. Maybe they'll remain cursed with that
Love Piqué! Dembélé tries to sneak into the La Masia photo...- Piqué: "Get out of here, with how much you have cost"What a legend Pique is 😂pic.twitter.com/fyfKiiShhZ— Karlo (@CroatianScout2) April 18, 2021
Nice 18 minute highlights with a focus on Messi but actually shows all goals and all offensive actions of note, less emphasis on Bilbao's offensive threats due to Messi focus. But really high quality video, long, and English commentary, so I'm sharing:
So to recap this year in copa Granada had 2-0 in the 86 minute Sevilla missed a PK and was only losing winning on agg 2-1 in the 93rd minute PS. This is Griezmann's trophy. between the goals and assists
