On the surface, the draw in the away first leg looked nice.
But because it was a goalless draw, it essentially means that Barça must win this match or they are out.
I didn't watch Villarreal play on Sunday but from what many wrote they apparently played quite well.

Gut check time for our boys, this game.

    Visca El Barça! :D

I'll be at the stadium next Thursday so I hope we win or, at least, we go through (I've never seen a penalty round live at the Camp Nou). Actually, I've never seen Barça lose when I go. I should be paid to go, I bring good luck to the team!

As I have mentioned in a previous post in the season thread, Ronaldinho has received the medical clearance and could play some minutes in the second half. Personally, I think that FR needs to field in a very strong side and not rotate any of the players for this game...

I would like to see the following lineup/formation hoping that all the players are available for this game and that Marquez is declared to play...

    Víctor Valdés
    Zambrotta - Puyol - Milito - Abidal
    Márquez
    Xavi - Iniesta
    Messi - Henry - Bojan

Second half substitutions [depending on the match events]:

    Ronaldinho - for Bojan
    Sylvinho for Abidal
    Guddy for Xavi

We have to put the Athletic performance behind us and work twice as hard for this game as it is not going to be easy at all. Villarreal played very well against 'the Galactic Whores' and punished them for their mistakes, we need to be careful and move the ball quickly as they are an attacking team and will attempt to pressure us early to get the goal. We need to play the way we are known to play [beautiful and flawing attacking fútbol]and be more ambitious and not sit back after scoring a goal. We need to shoot at the target more and be more direct at times, it is difficult because their keeper had a brilliant match against RM and stopped them from scoring two or three certain goals but we can do it...
    Visca el Barça... :D

They've never lost when I've seen them play either! ;) (Only been to Camp Nou once and seen them in preseason once.)

lanu, are CDR matches considerably cheaper than La Liga or CL matches, or about the same?

So far this season the Copa games have been much cheaper. For instance, for the game against Vila-real I got a fairly good ticket for 17 euros (I'm a soci, it's 24 euros for general public), while the same seat for the Osasuna league game next Sunday is 48 euros for the general public.

I guess they do it to make people go and fill the Camp Nou cause the Copa has been pretty devaluated in the last 10 years or so and doesn't attracted so much people as it used to.

I can't see us not winning this one. Maybe some silverware can come out of this season. If Villarreal played like they did against Madrid, we have a problem.

I personally can`t wait for this game for 3 reasons. 1 We are playing . 2. Ronnie is Back And hopefully back to his old self because ,from the Video of the training today he has lost that weight and looked sharp in the exercises . 3. I will finally get to see the Barca of old. The one of Attacking Free Flowing Football.

It confuses me. Last year our Defense was said not to be good enough, and so we where punished when we played counter attacking teams or attacking teams in general. If I can remeber we played attacking free flowing football. And this year our defense is one of the best we have had in years. But when we score we now drop back and play slow unattractive football. Im confused Somebody explain............?

Don't have too high of expectations. I don't expect to see him scoring Real-esque goals (the amazing goals he scored against RM 2 seasons ago) and elastico-ing the crap out of defenders.

It's Marca. I think they have Barca's lineup really wrong...

When you look at Villarreal's squad there's one giant red X amidst all the quality and that is one Mr. P. Cygan. He's not good and really I'd be surprised if he's still around next season. He's the weak link in the back and I won't be surprised if a Barca goal isn't scored through him.

I cannot wait for this Game, Dammit it couldnt come faster.

I expect us to get a good result, with some attacking football.

I think Frank is fed up with this idea of scoring one goal and sitting back and playing this boring football. He is going back to the old Barcelona.

I guess he went with the boring tactics because his job was online due to the fact that they where playing attacking football but where getting no results , but now this new way is working either. So he has no choice but to go with his instincts. Thats why he is here to emphasize free flowing attacking football. If not they might as well bring in Mourinho and stop waisting Franks TIME

Look he's wearing the top he wore before he lost the weight! :)
Hope he gets a good run in the second half. It's also about time that Messi steps up. He should be back to his old self by now.

Henry, in all honesty, caught Javi Venta's foot as they both kicked high for a ball and Deco, I assume, felt that Venta was making the most of the foul.

Barça looking very nice in the opening 20 minutes.

Henry is looking good. Bojan keeps having his passes and shots deflected. Deco not so good. Milito and Marquez holding it down. Iniesta is everywhere as usual. Messi has had some moments but has not finished the job off.
