    1. When all the teams are confirmed, it'd be mighty nice for someone to post all the players who will play.

    2. Anyone want to play a prediction type game off of this tournament? Not that I'm willing to keep track/organize of everything though. Just think it'd be kind of a fun incentive.

I was only able to catch the 2nd half of CR. vs. HN.. Costa Rica looked awful. I don't know how they did in the first half though.

    Costa Rica 1-1 Honduras.

Costa Rica scored late in the first half on a golazo header from a set play - corner or free kick from near the corner.

Honduras scored the equalizer in added time on a cross from the right wing to an unmarked player who made an excellent shot.

Not much interest it seems.. El Salvador vs Nicaragua was a nearly empty stadium. At least Panama drew some crowds. They should use much smaller venues, as it would create a better atmosphere.

The Panamanian government spent $28 million USD in renovating that stadium. I'm sure they wanted to show it off.

That's a great Idea, That would draw Pack stadiums and big proffits. Fifa should consider the $$ part.

    With yesterdays' results, we know:

    1) Panama and El Salvador qualify for Gold Cup, and advance out of their group.
    2) The winner of Belize v. Nicaragua will still be alive for a Gold Cup spot.
    3) Costa Rica have qualified for a Gold Cup spot, and will also be advancing.
    4) El Salvador needs to beat Honduras to advance (and secure a Gold Cup spot). Honduras can advance and qualify with a draw. Whomever doesn't advance between these two will play the Belize/Nicaragua winner for 5th place and the last GC spot.

Please correct me if I've made a mistake.

    # 4, you meant to say Guatemala, not El Salvador.

Great effort by Belize in the latter part of the 2nd half. Nicaragua barely hanging on.

    1-1 FT.

Nicaragua locks 3rd place in their group.

Panama has improved a lot, IMO. I think they will top Group A and will defeat CR in the semi, and perhaps win over the Catrachos in the final.

    You think so?

I thought the opposite. I think they have clearly regressed from several years ago.

All I can say for certain is that Belize and Nicauraga are still horrific and I can't judge anything from those matches, and this El Sal team is clearly poorer than last cycle (at least in this tourney). Incredibly underwhelmed.

IOW's until they play CR or Hondo there is no way to judge.

Watching Arturo Alvarez consistently try to dribble his way through problems and then, if he fortunately retained possession, make a poor pass once he did decide to give it up made me wonder just exactly what Kreis will be able to do with this guy when he gets to RSL in a week or two. I realize this guy has some serious talent but he really doesn't have much game.
