Do they randomly pick any Argentine fan in the stands to write all their bullcrap there?

Olé should know that journalism is a regularized profession, at least in developed countries.

I think Brazil will win, mainly because the pressure is on the Argentinians.
Imagine Argentina loosing to the Brazil B team...
But who knows what can happen, after all this is an Brazil-Argentina.

This has the potential to be a great match..it should be an open game..BTW-This is not our (Argentina's 'A') team we also have certain players missing that are not even participating in this tournament.

I absolutely agree, I hate Ole, they seem to enjoy every single failure the country's traditional rivals have, they are not a sports newspaper, they are just a bunch of guys ranting and talking smack, pure crap, IMO, Ole is a sports-only tabloid, nothing more.

I would disagree with the impression on Ole ... as also stated by ElPricipe9 ...

They are playing with words ... I don't think either Argentina or Uruguay are scared or freightened by Brasil ... respect yes, of course.

By using words that "sound" provocative ... they are just saying outloud what is obvious. And playing with words is one of their biggest virtues. They will never write inside (less on the cover) that the other team is no good ... that have no attitutde ... bla bla bla ... which would in turn be disrespectful of Brasil, or any other team for that.

In summary .. .they are saying something outloud that everyone knows ... and still sells papers.

In any event ... Sunday is 3 days away. :D

And don't forget this is the 2nd time in the history of the oldest football tourny that Brasil and Argentina face each other in the final. Not little IMO.

Actually, Argentina has brought its A-B team to compensate for recent failures, while Brazil brought its B-C team to give its major players a break and to prospect for possible A-team material.

I just hope Europe is taking notice.

Brasil-Argentina is what football is all about, instead of that multi-week bore-fest earlier in the month in Portugal. I fell asleep watching Euro 2004, and I was even watching from the Carribbean (that's sad). Eurocoaches just sucking the life out of all the players- how can Holland be so boring now?????

If Copa America were Euro 2004, Venezuela would win it all on Sunday by not playing and then hoping Brasil/Argentina didn't have the b@lls to attack them.
The soccer writer Paul Gardiner was right when he said the problem with Euro 2000 was "no Brazil, no Argentina." You can't really have a tournament without them.

These A/B teams would have already won Euro 2004.

Lol tanks for helping me laughing :)
Copa America had some very nice games, but the defenses generally were complete crap, if those teams were playing like this in an Euro they would certainly colapse sooner or later.

 Dude.. take it easy.. don't take is seriously. Ole is not considered to be "professional journalism" - everyone knows that. There are plenty of crap periodicals like that in every country... Brazil is no exception.

    Ole is just for fun...

you may now remove your corn cob... :D

Also, notice how the brazillians are downplaying their team to B-C.. that way, if they lose, they can say "ohh.. it doesn't count.. it was our C team".. and
if they win.. "omg! we beat them with our C team! look how good our guys are!"... see?

really convenient isn't it? I'm just glad Colombia isn't in the final... I'd rather see a worthy opponent like Brazil win the Copa than see Colombia do it.

Heheh, the 'it was our c team' reminds me of a certain fool who likes to post on the copa threads, :D

But seriously, i give the Brazil fans more credit than that, i'm sure they know this isnt a clash at full strength, on either side. But it's still Argentina Brazil, and it's gonna be great, i hope. :) Here's to a fantastic match, no matter who wins!!

Of course we will. but it really doesn't matter who we took because in the end there is more precious on Bielsa in this tournament than there ever was on Parreira.

The question I have is whether the pressure on Bielsa is entirely press and fan generated or if there are finally indications from the AFA that Bielsa's job could be on the line if he slips up at certain points?

If not, then this is irrelevant, the game will be all out on both sides, both want to win. If Bielsa is finally in a shakier position than before with the AFA, will it affect how he approaches the game?

Apparently Bielsa will switch things up and defend with 3, since Brasil attacks with 2 forwards, Adriano and Luis Fabiano ... leaving Zanetti and Sorin in midfield to take care of Maicon and Nery respectively.

    Team appears to be:
    Abbondanzieri
    Quiroga - Ayala - Heinze
    Zanetti - Mascherano - Sorin
Lucho Gonzales - D'Alessandro- Kily Gonzales
    Tevez

As to the coach's position ... I don't see anything changing 'til after the WC, provided Argentina qualifies. Julio Grondona has declared today that as when you win, when you lose, it is not the coaches fault but the whole team. This is a clear backing to Bielsa.

Also, Argentina has a very detailed planning of its NT activities at all levels. This team at Copa America was capable of going all the way. But more importantly ... and this is something said over and over by the media in Argentina ... there is a determination of winning the Gold Medal at Athens.

The 18 player Olympic Team list was given yesterday ... in it are 15 players of this Copa America ... 8 starters. If you place Clemente Rodriguez in for Sorin ... a right back in for Zanetti and Lux in for Abbondanzieri, that is the probable starting 11 at Athens. (The over 23 at athens will be Ayala, Heinze and Kily Gonzales).

So, what I see is a repetition of the work at Atlanta '96 ... a young team that carried forward and that replaced the bi-champs of CA 91 & 93 and WC 94. Argentina - Atlanta '96

To this CA Argentina brought a team solid enuff to win the Copa America ... and getting more solid in view of Athens a month from now and the WCQ after.

Afterall, this Copa America team has 15 U-23 in the roster ... 5 of them starters ... Did we know this before hand? ... kinda, Bielsa finished tuning up his team thru out this CA, but certainly he had it in blueprint coming into the competition.

I don't think it is important to talk about A or B or C teams. What we should recognize is that both teams are playing with a good number of players who are in their early twenties, and both teams are playing well. And the beauty is that, unlike other teams, they will not sit back, but will try to take it to each other. It is a great matchup and it really could go either way, depending on which team can impose their game. It is going to be a lot of fun on Sunday.
