They're both going to the tournament. They need a couple weeks of rest. Kun isn't fully fit either.

Kun is also injured????? What is it with him about being injured right before or during major tournaments!?!?!

Higuain will really need to be on fire this time around.

So we will be going with Di Maria-Higuain-Messi up top, with a midfield of Masche-Biglia-Pastore, I imagine.

Well Kun was injured 4 times in 2014, twice before the WC, once during and after the WC....

Also, Di Maria usually injured himself before Argentina reach the final.

    http://www.espnfc.us/preview?gameId=448440

``The Copa America's going to be tough, but we intend on winning it. I will bring my best to achieve it,'' said Higuain, who ended the Serie A campaign as top scorer with 36 goals.

``My mind is focused on the Copa America. When you come to the national team, your head has to be in it 100 per cent.
``We have a great team to win the Copa America. When one's head is in a right place, everything else comes along. This year I had the confidence, which I didn't have previously.''

Remember that in recent finals, its not like Argentina was not good enough.... only that their finishing simply not good enough! Whether its Pipita , Messi or Palacio...

Argentina has 112 minutes before Germany scored and 120 minutes before shootout against Chile... for whatever reason, these guys just couldnt tap the ball in like they did for their club.

They only need to bang one of those chance and Argentina would have been World champion and Copa champion.

Nice goal by Pipita there. Hope it's a sign of things to come!

So far, okay game. Two slight negatives --- Lamela disappointing, especially with his first touch, and the amount of space we are giving between the lines.

Nice goal by Higuain; Messi has opened up their defense with some delightful passes.

Well. He was walking at least.

I wonder if it was when he extended his leg backward while falling though. That was kind of weird.

Pipita is in the best form of his life, hopefully he caps it with great performance in Copa. Hopefully Messi is fine too.

If only the thropy is in that shape, Higuain will score a hattrick.

For those of you who understand Spanish, there is an update on twitter.com/argentina about Messi's injury.

Can you help translate, please? Thanks.

Found another tweet. I guess MRIs or whatever were negative.

"The test results say that Messi suffered a deep lumbar bruise. Fortunately it's not worse than the pain he has in that region."

Hopefully he'll recover , there's still about a week and Argentina should be strong enough to reach knockout stage even without Messi.

Hoy recordé lo mucho que me aburre ver a esta selección del fundamentalista tatarado.

    zzzzzzzzz

el central al lateral, el lateral al central, el central al 5 y este la retiene... la retiene... y sigue reteniéndola...
