Especially Vini, so we can move on from the "Vini doesn't perform for the national team" narrative and begin a new era in earnest.
If anyone is in the US and wants to watch free, the game is being shown on a channel called Unimas which I believe is a sister channel of Univision. You can find it if you search TV guide in your area.
Ref letting things go, Joao Gomes has been physical in winning the ball back, but hasn't had too much trouble. Vini got tackled and the ref let it go as the player eventually got the ball. So far just possession from us since the 5th minute. Some good connections, but some hurried low crosses too, not resulting in much. Best move was that Rodrygo combination with Paquetá.
Bad decision by Rodrygo to try to clear the ball through the middle. Went farther than I thought it would but still got intercepted... but we got lucky, won it back and got a break. But poor shot by Paquetá on the end of that. Vini should have tried to stay on his feet on the next play... not sure it was a PK, but he went down easy.
Gotta stay on your feet... BG tried for a PK now too. Weak stuff. Good play that led up to it but Paquetá (correction: Raphinha) hit it straight at the keeper despite being one on one. (Was a tough shot, to be fair). Looks like the BG play was closer to a penalty, but they do have to play through if they can. Ref has set the tone clearly.
6 shots already, 2 on target... kind of doesn't feel like that (0 for Costa Rica though). Need to be better chances though.
Marquinhos 1x0! Foul on Vini gets called on the left. Cross from FK comes in. Might be offside in the middle there, but the initial deflection is from someone who I think was on (Rodrygo) and Marquinhos pushes it in at the back post. It's really close. The clearly offside player isn't involved, but the moment of the free kick and the moment of Rodrygo's header are both really close. This is taking too long though, but in the end it's offside. It's Marquinhos who was offside. (The Fox crew in the US are completely misinformed, thinking that the ref has to review offside...)
Why the hell are Brazilian players putting their hands on the ref? They're lucky they haven't gotten yellows yet.
Os cara jogam tudo na Europa e quando jogam pela Seleção revertem como se tivessem jogando no Brasil.
