looking at the prize money earned so far for this Copa, FCF has pretty much paid Lorenzo's entire contract tab and then some. Hopefully they'll have a masterplan and invest wisely back in Colombia.
Powerful stuff from Quintero:"I'm a reflection of what is Colombia. When I was a child I suffered when my dad disappeared. But I had a strong family... we had to make many sacrifices. I'm not out of touch with Colombia's reality. Sport changed my life."https://t.co/mYcTXByrDM— Carl Worswick (@cworswick) July 13, 2024

didnt watch the game? Is Canada actually good? It looks like they played their main squad I mean the reason announcers are saying We have a shot is Argentina hasn't beaten anyone. Tehy could have beaten Canada 4-0 last game. Just shocked Uruguay didnt route them. Haha USA really f'd up by not giving Marsh a shot at being their coach tho Canada has those 2 actual world class players in Davies
I know the difference between when Uruguay goes all out and when they're not. Honestly, they underestimated Canada who was all over them and Suarez saved them. Canada in comparison to US and Mexico was actually genuinely putting up a much better fight.
Hi guys. Long time no see Well here are my 2 cents: Bielsas Intense tactics just won't work on teams like US or Canada. You're not going to muscle them down. That's stupid. You beat these teams with patience and pause and toque. Uruguay is always looking for the second goal even when there's no rush to get it. Inviting an open game. Anyway I'm glad this happened because Bielsa made a really stupid comment about Colombia on the pressconference (apart from lying about the fighting), when he said that he had "better players than Colombia". A really infantile comment. So I think it suited them fine to loose here really. Still I support South America more so I guess I'm glad they took the third spot but cocky statements like that should be punished. The Uruguayans really love Bielsa but I think they are making a big mistake sticking with him. He doesn't manage different speeds of the game, it's a one velocity mindset. So the players run their *sses off for nothing.
any other situation besides Argentina and messi fans knowing before the tournament started that they'd be in the final and buying tickets early, this stadium would have been at least 75/25 Colombians, if that.
I read somewhere that it's not as Argentine dominated as people would expect; a lot of tickets brought directly from Colombia was sold and you bet your ass that we will be heard.
It was complete Canada B squad vs Uruguay A squad. Marsch is a good manager, Canada is solid but not near Uruguay level.
A couple of friends have a suite for the game, not sure when they bought it but got it for 15k. None of them are Colombian, but bought because of Messi final etc. A Colombian family offered them 150k for the suite and he passed.
