Whatever happened to Victor Cantillo?? We are all fanboying over him for a solid year before he made his debut and then he disappeared. I see he’s back in Colombia?

    He took 4 #10s……

    4 cbs, 4 cms, 4 strikers…..

    to me that’s odd

one of Yaser, Quintero or Carrascal should have been left off the squad. Super odd I get Yaser, Carrascal can play as wingers and so can James…. Still super odd

o well we all knew Gomez was going to be cut, sucks for Mosquera hopefully motivates him next season. Sanchez played very well vs US so he staying

sucks Uribe even injured is on the squad. Like he isn’t a playing to wait for 2nd or 3rd game for if you only have 3 other CMs

I don’t find quintet carrascal or yaser is weird. Quintero can come in a super sub when players are tired and do magic as u saw the us game . Carrascal can play as a cm if needed or wide do also pull out some magic and yaser can play out wide and as a 10 switching with someone else who can play wide and do magic . Idk how that doesn’t make sense to you ? Do u watch our games ??? Or catch the highlights off YouTube ???

3 wide attackers + Carrascal/Yaser, 2 10's, 4 Cm's + Carrascal seems fine. The craziest is probably 4 strikers for 1 position, Borja and Cordoba feel likely to be fighting for small amounts of minutes or there in case of injury.

We have only 3 mfs that can actually defend, 1 who is currently injured.

teams seems ultra offensive and not in the right parts. Carrascal to me is a Tessor Moreno/Macbelly type. Only good when a transfer might happen for him so hoping that is what we get.

    Huh?

uribe is the most attacking minded of the center midfielders we have. We have Lerma, Ríos, Castaño, and Uribe’s injury is not serious. Some feel he shouldn’t even play to begin with

I think Arias could easily play as an 8 for us if needed, and Carrascal basically plays as an 8 for club. We're probably fine with 4 assuming Uribe will be fit, but ya would rather Castano/Rios over Uribe.

Just too many good CBs. The other four have all started in big moments for us as CBs.
I thought he could make it over Santi as a possible RB backup but Lorenzo obviously thinks Santi is more important. I respect that.

I would have taken Yerson over Davinson personally.

He's young he'll be back and even more established

I didn’t like any of the CMs yesterday but in all fairness after the 2nd goal all Bolivia
    Did was hack us

the ref def let a lot of our rough play go unnoticed. One of the Bolivians got kicked in the face and it wasn’t even a yellow

Hope Puerta and Solis get ton of minutes next season and are back on the roster. Uribe has got to go!

James looked way off yesterday, If the ball wasn't at his feet he was just jogging the entire game. Hope he will be match fit when it all matters next week.

I am still a bit weary about Alfaro and Costa Rica.
We should still win but they will park the bus and clobber our players in a more effective way than Bolivia did.

I think I am still more concerned about them than Paraguay.

agree. And our backline wasn't troubled vs Bolivia but Mojica - Lucumi -Cuesta/Sanchez -Munoz should be our starting D.
The minutes I've seen Castano play in these friendlies he's also lost a step, doesn't seem to be the same Castano that played last year, so Lerma - Rios should be our best DMF line but something tells me Uribe will get the call to start vs Paraguay.

I think I'd start Machado over Mojica but it is only by a marginal difference.

Alfaro with a young Ecuador in the altitude vs CQ Colombia is a thing of the past. This is a CR team that barely made the tournament. Paraguay is also in flux and have scored only 1 goal in qualifiers and only beaten Bolivia at home. Of course anything can happen in a tournament but these 2 teams represent very winnable games.

in the form we are in, they should be a breeze. I'm expecting Costa Rica to be the same as America (not result wise)
