    Welcome to CONMEBOL.

People think FIFA is corrupt. Well, CONMEBOL says hold my beer.

If you are a Sammers member and were not able to get tickets for the games in the supporters section, quickly email info@sammerssc.org and they are trying to help members.

Were they cheaper than the ones already listed? Because I wonder why. Filtering out all the resale ones, there’s still a lot of seats left from the initial sale for all the U.S. group games it looks like. I would love it if they can do this for the final, whether the U.S. makes it not.

These tickets must not have sold out because by email US Soccer opened up sales to Premium Insiders.

None of the US games will come anywhere close to selling out.

Yeah, not at these prices. With a few exceptions, they also should have closed off the top sections of these gigantic stadiums. Would have led to better atmospheres. Hopefully it will be a great tournament because everything about it so far has sucked.

Yep, at $100 to sit in the upper level, they’ve priced out the casual fan by about a factor of two. This isn’t the World Cup and shouldn’t be priced like it is.

Regardless, it’ll be fun in the stadiums. Always is.

Even at 20 bucks, they aren't selling 80,000 seats for any US group stage game.

Atlanta definitely would have sold out if tickets were priced more optimally. They have a massive footballing fanbase and the USMNT hasn't been there in 9 years. Kansas City might have sold out with better prices since Uruguay is a borderline "marquee opponent", although we did play Uruguay in KC relatively recently (2 years ago). Now our opening game was never going to sell out since Bolivia is our weakest opponent and we literally just played at JerryWorld last window.

They won't do that either, trust me. Nothing about this is with atmosphere in mind, it's purely profit maxing -- that doesn't happen by closing the upper deck. But yes we agree, it'd be much better if they did! At the end of the day US Soccer has very little control over anything here, other than stadium selection.

Anyone else still waiting for USSF to send tickets bought through them for the "Circle" sale? Bolivia game is not far off, and it's crickets from USSF (I tried emailing them but no response yet).

I live in Albuquerque, I don't know if we're going to Phoenix or Vegas for the quarters, but I can drive either way.

Could I hold off on tickets until are location is final, or am I gouged if it ends up being US vs Brazil in Phoenix?

Such a shame.. watching Euros and the organizers set aside massive areas for the teams supporters... dished out via the federation.

Copa is just going to me a massive mix of both team fans with 1 f-ing section for US fans.

    Such a complete oversight.

I'm waiting to see what location we will play out and see if USSF/AO has anything. If not then will just buy secondary market at the normal markup.

Not sure what to tell you if you think it's an oversight. It's a last minute thrown together tournament that doesn't have their own lottery/ticketing process and they outsource everything to the resale market kings. The only real goal is to profit maximize and they don't think they can draw very many fans from outside of the United States anyway, so they don't bother. I think they could if it was well planned further out with a clear lottery ticketing process + a process for individual federation fan groups.

All of the above aside, it's not really apples-to-apples --> expecting tens of thousands of fans per country to travel from South America to the US ( ~$1200 round trip) for the Copa America (2 years before the World Cup is here) isn't very realistic. In comparison, most fans for the Euros are able to travel by train for < $100.

Regardless, your point holds true -- the atmosphere is going to be significantly worse in every stadium and there will be nowhere near the same pre-game pageantry.

IMHO the best approach for *this* Copa America would have been to have it in 3 cities (all close to each other on the East Coast to limit some of the travel needs) and have a lotto-system plus tickets set aside for federations.

There are a lot of tickets left for this game. I would just see how the US is doing in group stage. A US - Brazil game would be higher draw but even then I’m not sure if they would actually sell out at the prices they went with.

As you say, it really comes down to CONMEBOL and SUM not caring enough to organize any application or lottery phase instead of just dumping the tickets to Ticketmaster.

No one is expecting significant numbers of foreign fans to travel due to visa difficulties, the cost, and the short leadup time. So giving more tickets to the federations may not have helped much anyway, unless the federation is comfortable giving their tickets to foreign passport holders with no history of attending matches in their country. Probably would vary by federation.

What CONMEBOL and SUM could’ve done is had an application phase after the draw where they give an option to select support for one of the teams playing in the match. And then at least all those fans could be allocated together at each end instead of spread throughout the stadium.

Traveling across the US is comparable to traveling across Europe, and there are significant numbers of (US passport holding) fans for every team in this tournament who already live in the US. It’s a shame CONMEBOL made no effort to group them together, be it through federation allocations or an application (and made the tickets so expensive).

The same goes for 2026, so hopefully FIFA’s plan looks closer to UEFA than CONMEBOL.

Ticket sales must have been slow for Saturday's Ecuador/Venezuela match at Levi's Stadium. Yesterday, Ticketmaster moved us from the 300 level to the 200 level because the organizers are apparently reducing the seating capacity.

See you in Arlington, Atlanta and Kansas City.

so frustrating of what could have been so much better organized..

the whole back and forth of having supporters section or not.... then they open it up and the tix sold out in seconds. But look at this, this is face value tickets on the official website. This isn't resale.. it's 12 full rows in the supporters section that are available in sect 109, face value, never sold.

Which tells me conmebol only gave the supporters section a portion of that section. Why not give them the entire section, they would have sold it out. If this is accurate then a third of the supporters section is unsold. That's messed up..
