Messi has 1 foul to 1 yellow, 1 goal. Neymar has 5 fouls to 2 yellows + 1 red, 1 goal. Paolo Guerrero has 17 fouls to 1 yellow, 3 goals. This is how Copa America rolls. Btw, why didn't AFA appeal the Messi yellow? Still don't know what it was for?
I sense the refs are trying to show up some of the bigger names in the tournament. Kun hinted at it. The refs have been so terrible, it's unreal. Players getting hacked down in front of them, they're telling them to get up.
"I don't understand -- it appears there's a different football in South America," Aguero told reporters after the Colombia match, in which he saw appeals for a penalty turned down. "The referee said: 'This is [Latin] America, kids,' yet we're from here," he added, referring to comments he claimed Mexican Roberto Garcia Orozco had made about forwards not being able to expect the same sort of protection they got in European leagues.
What an absolutely incomprehensible red for Zambrano. Peru down to 10 for NO REASON. This tournament has had the worst refereeing in the history of tournaments that I've seen.
Chile isn't very good. Playing with 3 in the back, they were getting pushed by Peru prior to the red.
I am not sure why Messi got a yellow. Aguero and James got yellows for arguing. I saw Videl do the same thing today and slap a player yet nothing happened. He also committed foul after foul and yet again no yellow. Chile would probably love to play Argentina without Mascherano, Messi, and Aguero is probably why.
Chileans are vulnerable. Lucky in many respects as it shouldn't have been a straight red, wasn't even a yellow. Chile's first goal was offside and peru could of had a penalty. No disrespect to Chile as I'm a big fan of their football. I just feel you guys have got this trophy.
Masche was right, how's Neymar got kicked 20 times and no Colombian got sent off? Neymar kicked them once and he got sent off. I'm not rooting for Brazil , but the double standard was obvious here. The same rules applied against us. They fouled Messi and Kun inside the box, didnt even got the ball on both tackles and no single foul was given.
Yes, why in the world did Messi get a yellow? They just gave it to him just for the sake of giving it to him. Why in the world are all the CONMEBOL referees trying to act all macho? They think they're showing the Europe-based players how tough it is in South America ---- all they're doing is basically being the laughing stock of the world.
I had a feeling the Hawks would win. With Kane and Toews, they'd be tough to beat. Kane coming back right for the playoffs was great, gave the team new life. Plus, Keith played great, just stepped up in the SCF, and Saad had his moments as well. The trade for Vermette finally paid off. The biggest concern for the Hawks was going to be the Ducks. A team that is very good till they get to a 7th game where they choke. Your Bolts will be a force in the EC for years to come. Don't expect Stamkos to be in a drought like that again. Guy is a special talent. He'll be back stronger than ever.
11 vs. 11, sin nada raro en el medio, les rompemos el culo en la final. For english speakers: 11 vs 11, without any dubious calls from the refs we have a very good chance to win the cup.
You guys need to win for all that's good and wholesome in sports. I think even some Chileans themselves are unhappy with the way their team is being gifted so many calls.
Has to be the most obviously shadiest tournament ever. Chile being carried to the title. Fouls per yellows in CA15 (Chile) 12 Chile 11 Mexico 9 Brazil 8 Bolivia 8 Uruguay 7 Ecuador 7 Jamaica 7 Peru 7 Venezuela 6 Colombia 6 Paraguay 5 Argentina
In fairness, Neymar didn't get sent off for kicking once. His first yellow was dubious, I grant it. After that though, he acted like a really petulant child. Given that he had a yellow, he was extremely lucky not to get kicked before the end of the match. On at least 2 occasions that I saw, he committed acts that should have warranted yellows. That's before even bringing up how he acted after the final whistle. I like him as a player, but on that occasion he completely lost it.
Gastroenteritis is a bit of an issue but with IV's he should be fine. I had it, took me a couple weeks to recover naturally with no medication. But you do lose weight since your appetite vanishes. I couldn't eat anything, after a couple bites I was full, even if I hadn't eaten all day.
