That schedule doesn't seem right. If I'm reading it correctly, the 1st place team in Group B has to play a 2nd place team from Group C, bit the 2nd place team in Group B gets to play a 3rd place team?

How predictable is Conmebol? I only got Uruguay and Paraguay wrong.

    Bullshit draw.

man i was worried about brazil's group, but i think argentina's is a bit tougher...although i guess that largely depends on what team the US brings to Copa America. and of course, venezuela gets a cake-walk of a group.

bullshit, the 3 weakest teams in the same group......
Well, we all knew Venezuela was gonna get Bolivia and Peru. Its pretty obvious that Uruguay will be first in that group...

Does seem odd...if you are in Group C, isn't better to finish third than second? Forget Brazil, just think about it without specific teams. Conceptually, the third place team avoids playing a Group winner, while second place team plays a Group winner.

Seems flawed, but maybe there is no other way with this type of 12 team set up.

Of course there is another way. You have two of the first place teams play the third place teams.

That is how it's usually done. If the schedulle says the second place team plays the third place team, it is probably a mistake.

My friend. They hate you everywhere, but that doesn;t mean they will be just looking forward to play you just so they can insult you or for political meanings. After all you are a pretty boring team to play against. Thinking about playing argentina, brazil, colombia, or uruguay makes it a lot more interesting. That is what I mean by you giving yourself more importance or relevance as a political issue than a soccer team. But either way, its a tendency for you guys to overestimate yourself, it was the same in the WC threads. Now, by no means, this means you guys have a crappy team, you dont, it just means, at least in your particular case, you are looking at things from the wrong point of view.

Exactly. Two of the first place teams should play the two 3rd place teams. The last 1st place team plays a 2nd place team. The remaining two 2nd place teams play each other. Assuming Conmebol wants to give every advantage to Venezuela but still appear a tiny bit fair, you'd go with something like this:

    (1) 1st A - weaker 3rd
    (2) 1st B - stronger 3rd
    (3) 1st C - 2nd B
    (4) 2nd A - 2nd C

Then the next round should be game (1) winner versus game (3) and game (2) versus game (4) [in order to try to minimize repeated opponents].

Are you sure they hate me everwhere? Even when my father was born in Peru and my mother is Cuban. I'm I really that terrible of a person for being born in the good 'ol USA? You do realize that almost 40% of Americans are descendant from spanish countires and within 100 years spanish people will be a majority in the US. Why do you hate your own people so much? Grow up...

Hahaha, what a joke Conmebol is, why don't they just skip the 'sorteo' show and arrange the groups from the start and in that way save the ridiculous montage...geez, have some self respect.
