    Why are you laughing?
Because they had to go to penalties to beat Panama in the 2005 final playing at home??? (baseball country with a population of 1% of the US)

    Gold Cup 2005 Final

well, according to the US hinchas,
the Gold Cup is worth more to them than this Copa America because of the Almighty Confederations Cup.

so we may see a C- team in venezuela:D

Because on one hand, the Gold Cup has never lived up to any expectation, even by adding non-concacaf teams. The US and Mexico
are CLEARLY and UNDENIABLY the best in the tournament and the best in teh conference...by FAR!
In the history of the tournament , besides Mexico and US, only Canada, has managed to take the trophy home. So what's to prove?
The Copa America however, will prove a much more competitive tourney. It's a no-brainer.

Also, I hear people already talking about a "b" team USA, blah, blah, blah.... That's a bunch of BS. There is no clear US team at the moment --and any 'smart coach' who understands the difference in intensity and level of play between Copa America and Gold Cup will make the right decision.

it's much easier to start placing blame on their 'being sent home early' if they start claiming, it was our 'c' team. Have some confidence USA, you were ranked among the top 10 in the world just this year, you should easily blow out a poorly ranked Peru and Bolivia and mid table ranked opposition like Colombia and Ecuador. What's to fear
