Globo International is showing the game too, in Portuguese, even in the United States (that's how I'm watching), so I guess Telemundo and ESPN+ only got the rights to the Spanish and English broadcasts. This said, ESPN+ is only 5 bucks per month and has other advantages like the Italian Serie A.
NBC bought the rights. They own Telemundo. I guess they sold part of the rights to ESPN+ for English language.
Goalie out and Richarlison hits the defender ... ugh. After a good start struggling to create chances a bit now. Bolivia are really, really awful.
I don't know if Globo TV will show just the Brazil games or all games. I do subscribe to ESPN+ which will show all games. The problem is, I can't DVR from ESPN+. I don't know if I can DVR Globo either. I receive them through SlingTV and never paid for the DVR option because they say "some channels" can be DVR'd but not all and I never got them to tell me if Globo is one of those "some channels." Do you know, or anyone else here? If Globo can be DVR'd through Sling?
This field looks so narrow. Brazil are definitely not doing well trying to break Bolivia down but now that we're having trouble they're helping us out with turnovers. Poor game so far but we should be winning. That jogada ensaiada on the corner was comical...
Too many goal scoring opportunities missed, against a weak team. That's not very conducive of optimism.
Morumbi is not narrow, it's standard size. Did you notice from that longitudinal camera angle a couple of minutes ago, that it is rather wide?
I know everybody is saying why play with Fernandinho against Bolivia, but if Tite intends to use them vs the stronger opponents then might as well try it out early as it was not the original plan.
I checked ESPN+ and they are showing the game 1 minute and 50 seconds ahead of Globo. Worked as a spoiler for me, haha, I got to know that in the next 110 seconds there will be no goal.
Really? In this case, it's strange that they're allowing Globo International to carry the game, too. In the past, I think Globo couldn't do this. Maybe different rules apply to the TVs from the home country. Maybe it was a condition from CBF that Brazilian TVs wouldn't have their broadcast rights curtailed by other contracts.
Yep, on ESPN+ you click on the little camera icon and you can toggle between English and Portuguese. Cool.
I would be lying if I said I’m not surprised by the performance. Our last couple of opening games in tournaments whether it is the Olympics, World Cup, Copa America has been poor.
