Our team in the '86 WC. The pictures are from some Slovenian sticker album or something along those lines.

Plenty of dodgy haircuts and even dodgier moustaches. :)

That is cool. The photo of Bruce Wilson in the top right is a keeper. He was the last true amateur every to play in the World Cup. THats why he doesn't have a club teams name under his photo. Never played pro but was a Victoria BC civic employee in the sewage department.

Igor Vrablic also is in the photo and was bounced from the Canadian team for his scam in some Malaysian or Singaporian tournament to throw games. The 5th Estate on CBC finally broke the story but I guess everyone knew and he was disowned on the team.

A lot of those guys played indoor soccer too by the teams under the photo.

You may be thinking of another player - maybe Jamie Lowry (?) - as Bruce Wilson had a long and distinguished career in the NASL playing for the Whitecaps, Chicago Sting, New York Cosmos and Toronto Blizzard.

Well Wilson was definitely a pro player prior to 1986. Might be thinking of George Pakos who was a civic employee I think. He's been unfortunately in the news the last few years but as a parent.

George Pakos I believe. He was the water meter man or something like that for the City of Victoria.
