as the Reading papers note him confidently saying. http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/readingfc/2016/2016738/bobbys_back Reading really need players who can play wide, right now. Their shape is horrible, and it's affecting everything they try to do.
I have a strong suspicion that the intreprid reporters at the Evening Post took a little liberty with the spelling on Convey's quote, if not the substance. Correct me if I'm wrong, Mr Schofield (our resident journo), but no one really gets into any journalistic or legal troubles when a sports writer massages a quote over there.
it's just the spelling here. We'd quote him pronouncing humour with a "u" too. Some journalists though.....quotes aren't so much massaged as visited by a high-intensity chiropractor.
Just don't put him on the wall. He'll move his head and let the goal right in like he did vs. Brazil.
exactly. The writer probably would have heard Mum even if convey had said Mom, because it's what he expects the word to be. In this case, he wouldn't see it as massaging, but as direct word for word quote.
