Interesting, I started a thread on this on the main part of the US Men's forum. I also said: True story: In high school, a friend of mine was neighbors with Convey's tutor and she asked him if he could take Bobby out one night to hang out with kids his own age. My friend said no, that it would be wierd, since Bobby wouldn't know any of us, etc. And yes, we all called my friend an idiot and various other names that would be edited here.
Great read. I'm very glad to see Convey taking leadership roles both at the youth level and aspiring to take one at the club level. By facing up to his teammates about playing for Euro contracts, and not buying into any of the tailor-made excuses, he's taking the next step to becoming a real leader on an off the field. It's good to hear that Olsen is inviting Convey to stuff off the field. That sort of camraderie is very good. Convey would do well to hang out with Olsen and invite Ben to do stuff with him. Hristo is very big on this, and I think it definitely can improve a team on the field if they are a family off the field. It's about time Convey starting voicing his desire to be in the center of the field. That's where he should be. -Digital
