I suppose I'm okay with this so long as the team doesn't wind up having to play on a damaged field because they moved the match to accomodate a concert the night before.
Nope. I mean period. We haven't even broken ground and were already talking about this as a possibility. Is it a reality? Sure. Is it necessary? Probably. Do I want the buzz kill to start less than a week after the long-awaited stadium annoucement is made? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Well then..there's a simple solution, isn't there? You just need to go build your own stadium with your own money, then you can run it the way you want.
There is one small mention of "if" we bump a game for a concert in the whole article. The article is specifically stating that we control what we do and we don't do. There is not buzz kill here at all. If the Fire/AEG decide they can make more money by scheduling a certain concert, then they will do it. It will not be like getting bumped, it will be a choice they make. Relax, wait and prepare to enjoy.
I file this under one of those "I put my trust in the Fire to do the right thing" files. They have rarely failed to do so.
Ugh. Don't mention those types of concerts or public opinion in Bridgeview may be drastically swayed against the Fire.
