i guess in my view is forget the power forward..not one fits the role... If goodness forbid BMB (the one who can closest play like this) gets injured.... BA should not go to plan "1A".... he should move to plan B if you know what i mean..... I don't see anyone who can do what BMB can bring -even if "not all the time" ....CAsey is not the answer IMO... by a long shot.....

Read the comments by poster Yergy in this thread:

    His latest:
Thanks for all the posts and speculation, regardless of outcome, just the idea of Casey and Cunningham gets me all excited for the season to start. Well here is more detail, not sure it helps. He was doing his rehab in Park City and the rehab center is definitely one for celebs. My buddies inquiry directly to Conor Casey was that he will be playing for RSL. He didn't say maybe or he was in talks, but that he really was. I've actually told my buddy to call me next time he comes in and I'm going to run up there and get my own answers. Maybe someone else will run into him here and gives us more information as well.

no offense, but i think the inhabitants of that thread are quite gullible - i can only assume that "celebrity rehab centers" don't generally allow people to walk in off the street and hold an impromptu one-man press conference with a patient

If you read the thread, you would then know that the rumor-starter is getting his info from his friend who is a rehab specialist and not a soccer fan.
However, it is highly unlikely that Casey would want some soccer fan come running into his rehab session just to provide "info".
That might be wishful thinking at best.

i did read the thread... is it at all possible that "rumor-starter" is doing just that?

mschofield, forgive my ignorance, but I'm not really sure what you mean by  . Does it mean you were being sarcastic? In that case, joke accepted, albeit not all that funny like I said already. If it means something else, what? Are you just rolling your eyes in lieu of an actual response? In that case, please respond with a cogent argument.

I admit it may be possible that someone, either the rehab guy or the rumor starter himself, is making it all up for fun. But it just doesn't seem to me like that's what's going on. It has a ring of truth to it. Maybe I'm gullible.

After the Taco Jones debacle, anything is possible.
He has no reason to lie, but there you go.

Casey playing full-time with a MLS side prior to WC 06 does make some sense.
Albeit RSL isn't the first time that comes to your mind.

Why not? There is precedent of taking former US National Team forwardss who didn't make it in Germany and putting them in Germany.

The comment was a toss off. the rolled eyes were based on the assumption that you knew that and were making a joke in reply. Sorry. As for it not being funny, well that just hurts...

And as for the joke, on second thought, it was funny. On third thought, no it wasn't. ;)
