Agreed. Lots of juicy stuff; don't know where to begin. I had thought the Ruiz to Leicester rumors were dead and now it sounds like a 3-month loan deal is a sure thing. Sigi might have A LOT of scouting to do this off season.
I love this kind of article, it really gets you thinking about all the various moves going on at the moment..another great article by Connolly
If Nowak can do for Adu what he did for DMB, and team spirit at RFK what he did for team spirit at Soldier Field, then I'm for him.
To an outside observer, Nowak does strike me as the PERFECT candidate, especially if he can bring a couple of assistants who are adept at running practices, some of the logistics, etc. It would be strange to see "Mr. Fire" running DC, but such is life...and if 1/2 successful, we know he'd be taking over Sarachan's spot as soon as the opportunity arose.
Leicester made the official approach yesterday. However, it's already dead. It seems Municipal are trying to cash in on Fish and are asking for unreasonable compensation. MLS doesn't own his rights outright. I've tried to gather info to better understand the arrangment for over a year and just get more confused. However, I doubt any of this will be reported so it's up to you weather you believe what I've posted or not.
PZ, whether true or not, I now dub you "Mr. Accuracy". And I do recall Municipal having part of Ruiz's rights. Is the deal really "dead", or just temporarily "on hold", until cooler heads prevail.
From what I've heard, Fish is really interested in going. However, Muni wanna milk their rights to Fish for everything they can and Leicester aren't prepared to pay what they are asking. At least that's the status I'd heard as of yesterday afternoon.
