Connolly: Cup Changes Open Opportunity

    i think connelly is right when he says that New England shouldn't feel too much of a hit. That's what makes the JMM acquisition so important.

    Plus, Noonan is quality for a rookie. He'll help considerably too.

    Yeah, but I don't think the Confederations Cup has anything to do with New England's window of opportunity. They'd have a good chance of picking up ground with games against DC and Colorado regardless. I think that while there's certainly potential for guys like Moore and Noonan to pick up the slack, we're still talking about taking away something like 40% of their goal production. And I don't think you can count on Kamler to keep up his scoring pace.
