http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=256385&cc=5901 Yet another great article by your favorite and mine, Marc Connolly, this time over Earnie Stewart and his feelings on moving to MLS and DCU. Also talks about continuing his play for the National Team, and he sounds like a class act all the way, as the title implies.
Damn, just call it Connollynet.com He is the sole reason we get MLS/US news in the US section of Soccernet. Another great article...is his goal to become the most prolific writer of our time?
Earnie's had too many fine performances for the MNT to remember. Let's not forget it was his perfect corner to McBride that set the tone v. Portgual. He's always appeared to be a true professional and nothing but class off the field, and we're about to experience that first hand watching him play in MLS, making this season all the more exciting. Interesting to hear Cobi is his "best friend" (at least on the Nats?) - will be fun to watch them go at each other out on the middle of the pitch either at RFK or Victoria Street. Here's to hoping his hammies stay strong and loose, and that he enjoys his stay in D.C. Welcome to America, Earnie!
