Sometimes a red card isn’t all that bad. Ask Ryan Suarez and C.J. Brown. Being suspended for one game as a result of their cards last weekend against Los Angeles and New England, respectively, earned themselves a spot on the National Team for this Monday’s match against Wales. For Suarez, who didn’t impress Arena when he was in camp before, this might end up being the break he needs. When was Suarez called in? I don't see his name on the roster.
Will the obsession amoung American soccer writers with the Metros, Fire, and DC United ever cease? ....nah.....
Re: Re: Connolly: Beasley Sparks the Fire I love seeing Beasley replacing Pires in Arsenal... Cole, Beasley and Henry all in the left side! catch them if you can.
From MLS Confidential "Scouts representing Spanish clubs Sevilla and Atletico Madrid were in the U.S. earlier this month to watch DaMarcus Beasley play. They attended the USA-Mexico game in Houston and a Fire home match against San Jose."
I would say there is a definate bias towards the MetroScum because Bradley and Connolly are from that area.
I believe Connolly is from Massachusetts (i.e., grew up there). But I don't know where he presently resides
