This part scares me. Was it more than just Jolley that had the problem with Petke?

"One source close to the team has also said that the best part of the deal that brought Pope, Jaime Moreno and Richie Williams to New Jersey from D.C. United for Mike Petke, a draft pick and an allocation last month was by the always-fun “addition by subtraction” cliché. Apparently, Petke wasn’t exactly as popular in the locker room as he was by the fans."

    This part amuses me:

A new tradition, sure, but let’s be clear here – there has been no tradition in The Swamp. If there was one over the past seven years, it centered around having more head coaches than goalkeepers, underachieving and, well, more whining and back-tacking around the locker room than is seen on a typical “Real World” episode.

Frankly, the part about Petke being considered a "problem" by that collection of knucleheads SoS had last year makes me feel light years better about him!!

Anybody scroll down to the quick Agoos interview...looks as though he's an oasis fan, yet another reason to like the man

Funny, I took that completely the opposite way... ;)

Oasis, Oasis, the name sounds familiar.... nope. Can't quite place it.......

Did anyone think it was ironic that they were asking Goose about the worst hair in MLS?

    That wasn't hair.

That was a dandelion with legs.

    Too Funny.

I also like how Goose says Etcheverry had a hockey-hair-doo. In fact Etch looks a liitle bit like Jagr (when he had long hair and played for the Penns) with a tan.

But I wonder how Goose can talk about bad hair? I'm sure he was mentioned as one of the players with the worst hair of the world cup and recenly featured in an article about athletes with bad hair. ;)

And what else do those 2 have in common?

Besides the fact that they both play for underachieving DC teams?

They're both paid way too much money considering they are shadows of the players the once were.

Here's to hoping that they both can turn it around. Especially Jagr who should not be sucking like he is.
