Didn't see this anywhere else but thought folks should know the details. All of DC United's Boy's Youth teams qualified for Nationals this year. Every. Single. One. Kudos to the kids AND the staff. Details here: http://www.soccer365.com/US_NEWS/MLS/page_95_147965.shtml
But, but, but . . . I thought everyone's youth squads besides NYs sucked????????? At least that is what Ives told me in his blog!
As someone not familiar with how youth soccer works, can someone give me some sense of what Nationals is and how one qualifies for it? Do you have to win a regional tournament? How many total teams go to Nationals? five? a hundred?
