Philly has won the race for the next expansion team.
This is good news for us as we are very close to Philly when our
team arrives, we'll have a great stronghold in the Northeast for great soccer rivarlies.

that's just saying there's a 'promise' of money coming from the state to help fund the stadium in chester. once that is sorted out, MLS needs to make the decision and announcement of a philly team. it's not final yet ... i'm guessing we need to wait another 60-90 days.

    :p

The NJ Transit + Septa trains in Penn is the cheapeast (not using Chinatown buses). And it's not that long of a ride.

oh i hear you ... not being a 'debbie downer', just realistic.

the stadium site is about 15 minutes south, along I-95, from the sports complex in south philly.

    Hang on.

    This just in.

Don Garber has decided that Chester is not cosmopolitan enough to be home to an MLS team.

He also said that the stadium design fails to incorporate the architectural cliche of framing a skyline.

Sorry, guys. You must be heartbroken. After all of that.

Yeah kinda like Foxboro..one old country lane in ..one old country lane out..but hey its great..you get to reenact Woodstock every time you have more then 50,000 people attending an event..leave your cars on the side of the road..mannn...and don't eat the brown acid.... mannnn...

last summer me and guyattheendofthebar wanted to go to Foxboro to see the US play.didn't want to drive ..because it was a holiday weekend...we saw the chinatown busses..got the times..then went on line to see about public transport to Foxboro..there is NONE..well except for the Pats games ..when they run 2 busses...fecking 2 busses..but none for concerts or soccer games...way to bring the fans in:mad:

Ugh.. all these "sources" are annoying. Just get a team in Philly so we can go to the games and chill with the SoBs! and tell them how much fun its gonna be to be rivals with them once we get a team
