Confused about European transfer window...

OK - I need some help understanding the European transfer window. I thought it closed January 31?

Are there certain leagues in Europe that have other transfer deadlines. Logically, I would think there has to be but I don't know so I ask!

The reason I asked is because I had early wind of Matt Jordan heading to Eruope for tryouts - I have no idea about transfer windows though and hoped someone on the boards knew. I'll report in Yanks Abroad though -

Jordan did go over... the reason you didn't get an answer was no one really understands the transfer window deal. Except of course that the window is closed.

Which means Jordan's Europe options are closed, or so I understand it.
Matt is heading to wither SJ or Col most likely.

Only when transferred from club to club. Like Giggs can't sign for Inter Milan until the window re-opens.

A player like Jordan out of contract, can.

They are stupid rules. Don't think window will exsist next season because it's stupid.
