The reason I ask is because the two LA teams would play nine times at the Home Depot center. Do we want that? Is it fair? Is it a good idea? I'd love to see two divisions, 32 games. Fair? So West teams go to Carson two more times. Would it be any different if Chivas was in San Diego. Its still 2 more road games regardless of location? How is it unfair? All the other teams in the west get 2 more home games as well? 20 games for W vs W( or E vs E) move a team like KC or Dallas to the East 12 games (home and home) for E vs W 32 games where is the unfairness?
Why would the two LA teams play nine times at the HDC? 12 teams. play the other 5 teams in your conference 4 times each = 20 games play the 6 teams in the other conference 2 times each = 12 games Now, conceivably, if they want to keep 30 games (as opposed to going back to 32), there could be two teams in the other conference that you only play once (one just at home, one just away). But if the Galaxy and Chivas are in the same conference, they should only play each other four times. Not nine. All four games would be at the HDC. Or is this like the "Can someone explain the math to me?" thread again?
